Murray 5-7 4-6 - HE DOES IT!! Ferrer can't send back a hammered forehand and Murray retains the title! That's his third title in as many weeks and it sends him up to number three in the world!

Murray 5-7 4-5 - Muray goes 15-0 up after Ferrer makes an incorrect challenge. He might as well use all of them now. On a second-serve rally Murray hits long, and then a hooked backhand puts Ferrer 15-30 up. Murray responds with a bullet serve that Ferrer can only send into the crowd. before a long return gives the brit a championship point...

Ferrer 5-7 4-5 - More great play at the net from Ferrer as he pushes murray back before smashing a volley home. Some more serve and volley makes it 40-15, and the Spanaird fires an unreturnable serve down Murray's throat to hold.

Murray 5-7 3-5 - A composed, authoritative service game from Murray, while Ferrer's malaise continues with a backhand into the net for 40-15. A smash at the net seals the game for Murray, and Ferrer is now serving to stay in the match.

Ferrer 5-7 3-4 - The Spanaird is loses his focus now. Another elementary forehand goes begging, though he makes up for it on the next point. Another epic rally goes Ferrer's way this time, and he's at 30-30. Murray earns a break point but ferrer saves it with a superb hooked backhand winner! One of the shots of the match. Murray volleys his way to another break point, but again it's saved. Ferrer holds on once more.

Murray 5-7 2-4 - Ferrer's attempted winner is wayward, and he's 30-0 down. Murray dollies up another defensive lob but Ferrer overhits it! Murray has Ferrer running frm one side to the other before putting him out of his misery!

Ferrer 5-7 2-3 - Ferrer sends Murray scampering all along the back of the court before disptaching a volleyed winner at the net. Murray responds with a powerful forehand winner that gives Ferrer no chance. A backhand down the line from the world number four has much the same effect, and earns him another break point. He spurns it with a soft return into the net, though. Another backhand, another break point, but Ferrer defends it with a smash at the net, and he goes on to hold.

Murray 5-7 1-3 - Great sharp net play from Murray, who volleys past Ferrer for 40-15. A loose forehand hits the net on the next point, though, and the Spaniard senses his chance. Ferrer goes for the big return but it's long and finally someone holds serve in this set. A big game for Murray to hold, too.

Ferrer 5-7 1-2 - BREAK! Both men are playing wildly inconsistently at the moment. Ferrer loses out after another hard-fought rally with a forehand that goes just wide. Murray's poor lob s smashed into the net by Ferrer for two break points. He only needs one and he converts it with a lovely lob!

Murray 5-7 1-1 - BREAK! Murray plays his second serve well but then fails to move into the net as much ashe should have, and Ferrer has two break points! The first is hit long, but the second is clipped off the net by Murray and drops out! Great response from the Spaniard!

Ferrer 5-7 0-1 - BREAK! Murray sees a two-handed return clip the net and drop just out of court for 30-0. He then plays through a point with a broken string but still wins it after Ferrer hits the net. Another double fault from the Spaniard levels the game. Patient rally play from Murray pays off as he forces the error and he earns another break point, and Ferrer hits long!

Murray 5-7 - SET! Ferrer looks disheartened by the way he let that last service game slip, and Murray cruiises up to 30-0. Murray then controls a rally but hits his forehand winner wide. An ace is greeted by a punch to the air from Murray, who has two set points... Another ace gives Murray the first set!

Ferrer 5-6 - BREAK!! Wonderful play from Ferrer as he hares to meet Murray's slice and guns a forehand right across the court. Murray then returns into the net, but some aggression from the Brit forces the error from Ferrer and he's at 30-30. Murray earns a break point at a crucial time... and Ferrer double faults!!

Murray 5-5 - Murray gets a little fortunate with the net cord but he strikes a clean passing shot to go 30-0 up. Ferrer now dictates the play and this time the clip of the net goes the Spaniard's way. Murray quells the Spanish fight with two quality first serves to hold.

Ferrer 5-4 - Murray returns a big Ferrer serve into the net and shows his frustration. Ferrer than charges into the net and delivers a cracking forehand. Another poor return from Murray puts Ferrer 40-0 up, but then some tippy-tappy at the net goes the way of the Brit. A great volley from Ferrer is too much for Murray, who will now serve to stay in the set.

Murray 4-4 - Murray gets to 30-0 in no time as he does not allow Ferrer to find a rhythm, but another poor two-hander gets Ferrer on the board. The Spaniard loops a forehand too log and Murray takes the gam comfortably.
