FEDERER 7-6 (4) 6-2 GAME SET AND MATCH: Just delaying the inevitable though as Wawrinka goes long after some superb baseline combos from Fed, match point for real this time but his pal deuces it with a smash. The next rally sees Fed kill a super forehand, I want to say on the run but it was more a glide... Match point again and taken as Wawrinka goes long following some bullying forehands by Fed.
-
FEDERER 7-6 (4) 5-2: Federer challenges a first serve ace that was clearly in but missed by the lino. Then he moves 30-0 ahead by giving Wawrinka the runaround. Now a rare double fault, 30-15, but Warwinka falls at an engaging rally and it's double match point. But great sportsmanship from Fed who refuses to serve as he insists it should be 30-30 because his winning shot was out. Clap clap.

FEDERER 7-6 (4) 5-2: Killer return from Fed, zipping down the line. Then Wawrinka scoops a shocking forehand high and wide, 0-30... The home crowd do a crescendo of applause and Warwinka follows with a super serve. And another, 30-30. Fed spins a backhand out, and Wawrinka holds with a serve that Fed fluffs into the net. Good hold. Fed serving for a place in the final.
-
FEDERER 7-6 (4) 5-1: Fed starts the game with a cool backhand winner but Wawrinka wins the next point before going long, lazily... Great return though, Fed volleys but Wawrinka with a flying backhand that Fed almost tips over as he hurls himself to the net. Not quite. 30-30. Some baseline fun follows, before Wawrinka goes long. He challenges... Nope, 40-30 Fed and he holds as Wawrinka returns into the net.

FEDERER 7-6 (4) 4-1: BREAK - Hawkeye confirms that Wawrinka's wannabe ace was out. Now Wawrinka scoops an attempted volley long, thanks to Fed making him stoop a tad. The next Fed return is long, but he wins the point that follows and can break again... And he does so with a superb backhand slice across the net after reading Wawrinka's drop shot. That came about from a super backhand second-serve return. Fed cruising into the final now.
-
FEDERER 7-6 (4) 3-1: The Master unleashes a glorious smash and an unreturnable first serve but Wawrinka battles back to 30-30 with some good returns. Fed holds though, able to pull out some tasty serves as he protects his break.
-
FEDERER 7-6 (4) 2-1: Wawrinka manages to hold to 30 but Federer missed a chance. His was 15-30 in front and than on 30-30 he had a chance of a backhand pass with Wawrinka a little exposed at the net but he pushed it wide and a little grimace from Federer suggests he knew he could have nailed that.
-
FEDERER 7-6 (4) 2-0: Wawrinka slams his racket to the ground after Federer holds to love again and that is now an "ex-racket." Federer back in complete control of this match.

FEDERER 7-6 (4) 1-0: BREAK - Federer gets in a good position thanks to a clean return winner and then a clinical forehand after gliding to the net. It then goes to 15-40 when Wawrinka goes wide. He saves one but then finds the tramlines again to give Federer the game.

FEDERER 7-6 (4): SET And Federer has won the set. A good serve sets it up and Wawrinka gets caught in the corner and Federer takes the breaker 7-4. From the sublime to the sloppy in that set from the former world number one but he did enough.
-
FEDERER 6-6 (6-4): Federer about to serve for the set though. His second set point.
-
FEDERER 6-6 (5-4): Three in a row now and Wawrinka on serve…as pushes Federer into the corner and forces him to play long.
-
FEDERER 6-6 (5-3): Two points in a row has got Wawrinka back into things. Federer has just miss-controlled a volley.
-
FEDERER 6-6 (4-1): Wawrinka won the first point of the breaker but Federer has since taken control.
-
FEDERER 6-6: We will go to a tie-break. Wawrinka is playing steady enough but Federer is up and down to wild degrees. If he clicks back into gear he should take this but Wawrinka is good enough to take advantage if he does not.
-
FEDERER 6-5: A little bit nervy from Federer as he sees 30-0 slip back to 30-30 but he gets the game in the bag by winning the next two with a nice little move to the net sealing game point.
-
FEDERER 5-5: Wawrinka backs up that break in impressive fashion too with a nice hold to 15. A clear momentum shift in this match now.
-
FEDERER 5-4: BREAK – Wawrinka has broken back!! A combination of good defensive work and some sloppy stuff from Federer has seen the Swiss number two break back. A shot that was miles long handed Wawrinka the game.
-
FEDERER 5-3: A return winner from Federer makes it 15-30 but Wawrinka gets his serve going from then on in and he is going to at least make Federer serve this out.
