ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 6-6(4-2) - Isner has the mini-break in the breaker thanks to a woeful forehand error on the point before the changeover. We've been here before haven't we?
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 6-6 - Isner starts of the service game well - wuth an ace. The American then looks to serve-volley and forces Simon wide with an attempted cross-court forehand. A second and third ace seal the game. We'll have our third breaker of the match.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 5-6 - Simon has no such trouble with his serve. He's very accurate with his first serve, as he has been all through this second set, and holds to 15. Isner will now have to hold serve in order for the match not to go into a fifth and deciding set.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 5-5 - Isner fails to lead once on his serve as he looks immobile from the back of the court. He attempts to come to the net and is unsurprisingly passed. Simon has a set point to draw the match level, but a booming serve down the middle takes it back to deuce. Isner then crafts a one-two opportunity but nets the 'two'. The American then serve-volleys to lead in the game for the first time and then takes the game when Simon nets.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 4-5 - Simon takes a 30-0 lead when Isner misses two consecutive forehands. The Frenahcman thinks he's one point away from teh game when it looks like Isner's forehand looks to be drifiting long. It doesn't. Two further sloppy forehands from the 28th seed gift the game to Simon.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 4-4 - Simon is not too happy with himself. Isner is not serving too well at all but the Frenchman is not punishing the serve like he should be doing, and he knows it. The American scrapes through another service game.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 3-4 - The American takes a 15-0 lead but doesn't seem content in staying in the rallies as he tries to clean the lines on the following four points. Simon doesn't have to do a great deal, but holds with ease.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 3-3 - The usually reliably serve of Isner isn't doing him any favours. He takes a 15-0, 30-15 and 40-30 lead but is pegged back each time. He finally takes the game when a serve is unreturned before Simon sends a forehand wide.
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 2-3 - Simon races to 30-15 but Isner should draw level with a chance of a smash at the net. He hits it straight at the Frenchman, who does well to keep it low and pass the home favourite. The 12th seed sends a forehand winner cross-court to seal the hold.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 2-2 - Another big wobble from Isner. He twice faces a break point as he misses a number of opportunities to put the ball away. A well crafted approach and volley keep him level in this fourth set.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 1-2 - The cut on the hand could well have an effect on the outcome of this match. Either that, or Simon was serving rockets out there because Isner didn't look interested in a single one.

BREAK - ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 1-1 - Simon has the break back and it's now back on serve in the fourth set. Isner had to stop during that game with a cut in his right hand. Will that have a big say on this match.

BREAK - ISNER 7-6 3-6 7-6(2) 1-0 - Isner looks to have all the momentum following the second set tie-break. The American gets to 30-40 but nets when trying to hit a clean forehand winner. Another big forehand gives the home favourite another chance of an early break, but it disappears as Simon's backhand clips the tape and drops on Isner's side. The big American finally breaks when Simon nets.

ISNER 7-6 3-6 6-6 - Simon gets to 30-0 but his second serve on the following two points is poor, which allows Isner to hit forehand winners. The American tries it again but the effort flashes wide. Simon takes the game when Isner's lob lands long.
-
ISNER 7-6 3-6 6-5 - Isner really struggles with his servive game. The big American is taking an age in between points as he gets to 30-30. The trusty first serve secures the hold and he's earned himself at least a tie-break.

ISNER 7-6 3-6 5-5 - Gutsy hold from Simon who puts a lot of presure on Isner during the game as he serve volleys and throws in a number of quicker second serves. The Frenchman holds to 15 .
