GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 5-7 MONFILS. It's a disaster for Dimi as he double faults trying to fight off two match points. In the end it's another straight sets win for Monfils (who has yet to drop one), but he had a definite lull in the match where the Bulgarian could and should have taken advantage. But he didn't and Monfils moves into the last eight where he will face Federer or Bautista.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 5-6 MONFILS. The number 20 seed assures himself of a tie break at the very least by holding to 30. The pressure is back on Dimi as he looks to force the second TB of the contest. Will he buckle?
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 5-5 MONFILS. A 16-shot rally opens the game and goes the way of Monfils, but an even better one sees Dimi pull off one of the shots of the match on the run after a sensational exchange at both the baseline and net. It gets the crowd on its feet and even Monfils offers generous applause. It gives Dimi the lift he needs and he takes the next two points to deny the Frenchman a chance to seal the contest.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 4-5 MONFILS. It's Dimitrov showing frustration now. The Bulgarian knows he hasn't been up to it on the big points today and he's finally berating himself. A challenge goes against him that would have put him 0-30 ahead and he eventually succumbs once more when Monfils arrows down another ace.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 4-4 MONFILS. A bit of pressure from Lamonf as he shrugs off some of his malaise to move into contention at 30-30. But two big serves get Dimitrov out of the mire.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 3-4 MONFILS. Solid stuff from Monfils who keeps pulling out the big serves. Dimi is going to have to really gamble at some point if he wants that break. He's going to need to really go for broke or risk the lottery of the TB.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 3-3 MONFILS. Dimi levels to love with some exquisite tennis. A thumping ace gets him off to a fine start and he follows it up with the point of the game, killing a shot down the line dead with an athletic stun-volley.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 2-3 MONFILS. Baby Fed works his way into striking distance at 40-30 but can't repel the big serve when it matters and Monfils holds once again.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 2-2 MONFILS. A break in play at 30-15 is allowed by the umpire as Dimitrov heads to the locker room to replace his trainers after a malfunction with the sole! The duo exchange a delightful rally that goes the way of Monfils at 40-15 on his return, but the Bulgarian retaliates with a 10th ace of the match to level at 2-2.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 1-2 MONFILS. Dimitrov is almost beating himself here. At 15-40 he works a brilliant opening but in-keeping with his form on big points so far today, slices a tame second serve into the net. Monfils raises his game with a bullet winner and then slams down a pair of aces, including a 137mph sizzler, to somehow pull off an unlikely hold.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 1-1 MONFILS. It's hard to work out what is going on with Monfils. One minute he's fit and firing again, the next he's looking exhausted and irritated. At 30-0 down he barely moves for Dimitrov's final two serves, allowing his opponent the love hold. Is he conserving energy for what he perceives to be games that aren't lost causes? It's a risky tactic if so....
-
DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7 0-1 MONFILS. Gael's frustration seems to have subsided somewhat and he fights off a bold opening to the set by Dimi to hold to 30.

DIMITROV 5-7 (6)6-7. MONFILS. Only Grigor Dimitrov will know how he didn't take that tie break. The Bulgarian led 2-0, 4-2 and 6-4 with a brace of set points, but contrived to allow the Frenchman back into it. If he'd taken just one of the giveaways he overcooked he'd be sitting down at 1-1 now. Instead he's 2-0 behind after falling to an 8-6 TB loss. The seventh seed has never come back from this deficit to win ever before...

TIE BREAK! - DIMITROV 5-7 6-6. MONFILS. LaMonf makes a big passing shot at 0-15 with Dimi at the net to level before going on to take the next three points and secure a tie break.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 6-5. MONFILS. It's a love hold and a Gallic shrug of aggression from Monfils who is still muttering away in French as he takes his seat at the changeover. This is a big chance for Baby Fed. Can he take advantage of the Parisian's petulance and lack of concentration?
-
DIMITROV 5-7 5-5. MONFILS. The Frenchman is muttering away to himself but just about keeps composure to see out a hold of serve. Dimi has his chances but fails to engage the 20th seed in a rally and pays the price for some wasteful shot selection.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 5-4. MONFILS. Bizarre from Monfils. He's a set up but is allowing himself to lose the plot mentally. Emotion and anger over an 'out' call take its toll and he effectively gives up on the final point of the game as he childishly slaps Dimi's serve out.

BREAK!- DIMITROV 5-7 4-4. MONFILS. A test at 0-30 becomes a mini crisis for LaMonf as he whips a shot down the line wide. Some bold tennis sees him save two of them, including a scorching baseline winner, before he eventually drills a shot long. All square in the second.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 3-4. MONFILS. Dimi digs deep to storm back from 0-30 and take the next four points on the spin. He remains just the one break behind. This match is still finely poised, but the Bulgarian needs to make the most of one of the few opportunities he gets on the Monfils serve soon or he'll be trying to fightback from two sets down.
-
DIMITROV 5-7 2-4. MONFILS. The number 20 seed makes hard work of it but eventually battles through deuce to hold courtesy of that white-hot first serve.
