MURRAY 6-1 6-2 6-2 DIMITROV: GAME, SET, MATCH! Murray continues where he left off, forcing Dimitrov into the opening error before a fine serve puts him 30-0 up. Another errant Dimitrov forehand gives Murray three match points but he’s out rallied by Dimitrov for once and then makes an error on the backhand wing. Too little, too late, though and Murray gets the job done in just over two hours. Brilliant, brilliant stuff.

It has suddenly started raining! This could be a stay of execution for Dimitrov… A fine mist but could be enough.

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 5-2 DIMITROV: Murray opens with another superb forehand winner on the run and a great return then forces Dimitrov to net. Big shot making gets the Bulgarian on the board and Murray then nets a return, much to his annoyance. Successive aces and Dimitrov holds. That’s one way of doing it…

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 5-1 DIMITROV: Flashy stroke play by Dimitrov gets him to 30-30 but Murray wins another long rally and lets go with another huge scream of encouragement. An ace puts him to within a game of victory. What a performance this is.
-
MURRAY 6-1 6-2 4-1 DIMITROV: Dimitrov’s backhand again lets him down. Lovely when it’s on, wobbly when off. The Bulgarian living off what scraps he can and he has to dig deep to get on the board in this set.

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 4-0 DIMITROV: Murray still shouting encouragement at himself and that has got to be torture to Dimitrov’s ears, really rubbing it in that he’s having fun out there tonight and remaining focused on the job. Whatever Dimitrov tries, it’s coming back with interest and Murray hurries to another love hold.

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 3-0 DIMITROV: BREAK! An incredible forehand get on the stretch helps win Murray one of the points of the match and it really seems to zap the spirit of Dimitrov even further. Yet another incredible running forehand winner on the stretch secures the double break with another cry of ‘Go!’ Can anyone live with Murray in this form?

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 2-0 DIMITROV: ‘Go, come on!’ roars Murray on winning the opening point on serve, still fully focused despite the scoreline. He never seems to have a drop off in the way a Gael Monfils or Jo Wilfried Tsonga sometimes does. Having said that, he then throws in a double fault and hits long to concede two break points but regains his focus with some big serving to hold.

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 1-0 DIMITROV: BREAK! Lendl is on his feet by the exit as Dimitrov serves a double fault to give Murray a look at 40-30. Incredible scrambling from Murray pulls him to deuce and another errant forehand gives him yet another break point and the Bulgarian slices a forehand out to concede the early break.

MURRAY 6-1 6-2 DIMITROV: SET MURRAY! Dimitrov blazes a lovely backhand winner on the opening point, a gorgeous shot to watch when it comes off. Muzzard, as Brad Gilbert likes to call him, responds with an unreturnable serve and an ace puts him further ahead. Another big serve gives the Scot two more set points but a fourth double prolongs the set and Dimitrov scores with a forehand winner. He’s starting to play much better but he’s left it a little late! Great reactions from Murray to flick a volley winner from a full blooded Dimitrov backhand gives him another set point and he seals it with an unreturnable serve.
