GAME, SET AND MATCH! – TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 6-4 MURRAY. The Greek prevails after an epic four hour and 49 minute battle. The number three seed serves it out to love with the minimum of fuss and will head into round two against Mannarino relieved to have avoided a major shock.
Murray will rue a missed chance in the tie break but this was far more like the man who reached number one in the world. At times it was vintage Muzza and he will hope that he can now stay fit and build upon such a performance in the months ahead.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 5-4 MURRAY. It’s now or never for the three-time major winner. He has one last chance to break back here after surging through a hold to 30. Once again he looks to the crowd for the support. He still feels aggrieved at that delay between sets and jokes to the umpire that he wants the trainer!
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 5-3 MURRAY. Too strong. You sense Murray may have had his chances to break. Tsitsipas coughs up just the one point and is now one game from round two.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 4-3 MURRAY. Muzza is on the charge, but can he actually find a way to win this? It’s a rampant love hold and it’s back to Stef.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 4-2 MURRAY. More frustration for Murray. He has a real look-in at 0-30 but overcooks a backhand and from there Tsitsipas takes charge with the forehand doing most of the damage.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 3-2 MURRAY. ‘I’m not done yet’ is the message from Muzza. He surges through a strong hold to 15 to stay firmly in touch.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 3-1 MURRAY. Chance for Murray… ‘Let’s go, Andy... Let’s go, Andy…’ is the cry of encouragement from the crowd. Tsitsipas just blocks it out, fending off the break point with a crisp crosscourt forehand winner and reeling off two more astute points from deuce to maintain his advantage.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 2-1 MURRAY. It’s fair to say that was a must-win game for Muzza and he duly delivers. Is there to be another twist in this or will the higher ranked player see the job through now?
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 2-0 MURRAY. Tsitsipas looks keen to get this done after what has been a huge scare so far. He consolidates with a rapid hold as Murray continues to bemoan the length of the Greek’s bathroom break.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 1-0 MURRAY. Sir Andy looks energised by the frustration of having to wait for Stefanos in-between sets and tries to involve the crowd as much as possible, It appears to work at 30-15 but Tsitsipas looks ice-cold out there and manages to bite back to claim an immediate break point. A lovely return helps him convert and the No.3 seed is ahead in the match for the first time since the very first game of the contest.

SET! – TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 MURRAY. We are heading into a decider. There’s no slip-up this time around as Stefanos punches the air after a crunching forehand breaches Muzza’s defences to belatedly conclude a set he was running away with.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 5-3 MURRAY. That’s typical Murray spirit right there. He gets caught out by two superb backhands from the Greek and faces set point. The Brit responds by luring an error long and forces another serve-out question with the hold from deuce. Any blip from the Greek now would surely set alarm bells ringing in his camp.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 5-2 MURRAY. It’s a long way back in this set and you wonder whether Muzza would be better channelling his energy on the decider. He doesn’t think that way though and tees up triple break point. Stef saves two but a wonderful crosscourt winner from the world number 112 snares a break back.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 5-1 MURRAY. Bagel avoided. Murray finds a big serve and a couple of probing forehands to edge to a hold to 30.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 5-0 MURRAY. It’s one-way traffic right now. Tsitsipas blitzes a backhand winner down the line on his way to a thumping love hold. The set is gone but Murray could do with a hold to avoid the bagel and ensure he’s serving first at the start of the fifth set.

BREAK! – TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 4-0 MURRAY. It’s looking very much like we are heading into a decider. Murray is showing some signs of fatigue and there are a few loose errors in there. He’s broken far too easily and Tsitsipas has a real cushion now.
TSITSIPAS 2-6 7-6 3-6 3-0 MURRAY. The Greek nails a crosscourt winner to consolidate from deuce after a pair of double faults had given Murray a brief glimmer of hope.
