2022 US Open women’s singles final result: World No.1 Iga Swiatek wins her third Grand Slam title with a straight sets win over Ons Jabeur

This is their fifth meeting with the match-up intriguingly poised at 2-2. 

Jabeur won their only previous clash at a major at Wimbledon in the fourth round last year. Meanwhile, Swiatek defeated the Tunisian when they last met in the Italian Open final in May. Indeed, the Pole has won her past nine finals in straight sets. 

The players boast the most wins on the WTA tour this season with Swiatek picking up 50 wins and Jabeur claiming 38. 

Swiatek lifted the French Open for a second time back in June while Jabeur reached the Wimbledon final a month later.
