DJOKOVIC 7-6(4) 2-1 - Better from Tsonga as he gets off the mark in this second set with a comfortable service hold after a series of first serves. He needs those cheap points because as soon as Djokovic gets the Frenchman involved in a rally, it's all about the Serb
-
DJOKOVIC 7-6(4) 2-0 - Djokovic races through a solid service hold to consolidate the early break, Tsonga looking skyward (there will be no help from the rain today for him) after slapping another slack forehand long

DJOKOVIC 7-6(4) 1-0 - BREAK - Things are getting away from Tsonga now as he drops the opening service game of the second set after a couple of forehands go astray from the Frenchman. His energy levels have cleared dropped now and he looks disheartened

DJOKOVIC 7-6(4) - SET - Tsonga saves the first with a forehand stop volley winner and looks set to save the second when Djokovic slips on the baseline only for Tsonga to net a forehand volley

DJOKOVIC 6-6(6-3) - TIE-BREAK - Tsonga has lost his rhythm in this breaker and that's credit to Djokovic, the Frenchman hitting long to hand his opponent two three set points. The first two will be on the Tsonga serve though

DJOKOVIC 6-6 (4-2) - TIE-BREAK - Djokovic sneaks out to a mini-break lead just before the change of ends in the breaker when Tsonga misses a first serve and then fires an unsettled looking forehand long
-
DJOKOVIC 6-6 - An outstanding flicked backhand dipping winner on the slide from Djokovic undoes Tsonga who finds himself 15-30 down. And it nearly happens again on the next point as Djokovic gets to some outrageous balls. But the Frenchman finds a smash winner and goes on to hold with a great cross court backhand that Djokovic can only return into the net. This set will end in a tie-break
-
DJOKOVIC 6-5 - Djokovic dumps a forehand drive volley into the net after having done all the hard work but that's the only point he concedes before securing the hold with a delightful backhand stop volley from way below the net line. Tsonga is gesticulating to anyone who will watch and listen and will have to pull himself together fast as he will have to serve to stay in the set after the change of ends

DJOKOVIC 5-5 - BREAK - Again Djokovic finds himself 0-30 up after a beautiful forehand passing shot across court. The Serb is definitely reading the Tsonga serve better now as he earns himself three break points. The Frenchman saves the first with a sensational forehand half-volley drop shot and the second with an ace at 148mph before doing the same on the third. A double fault hands Djokovic a fourth chance and this time he does break back when Tsonga hits a forehand wide down the line
-
DJOKOVIC 4-5 - Despite throwing in a double fault, Djokovic holds relatively easily, finding his third ace to seal the game and keep things alive. But Tsonga will serve for this opening set after the change of ends
-
DJOKOVIC 3-5 - Djokovic finds himself 0-30 up with a backhand winner across court before Tsonga bounces back with a huge first serve. The Serb shanks a forehand on break point, whipping it wide across court. The Frenchman saves a second break point with an unreturnable first serve (Nole challenges unsuccessfully) and the Frenchman holds with another two huge first serves. Tsonga a game away from the first set
-
DJOKOVIC 3-4 - Djokovic produces the kind of tennis that won him 42 matches in a row, flicking a forehand passing shot winner across court and landing it just inside the line as he races through another service hold
-
DJOKOVIC 2-4 - Tsonga really gets the clash going and the crowd involved as he dives down to a low forehand volley before hauling himself off the turf to play a high backhand volley winner. That seals the game, gets the crowd on their feet and even draws a disbelieving chuckle from Djokovic. Tsonga gestures to the crowd to get them further involved - they are loving the Frenchman
-
DJOKOVIC 2-3 - Serve is looking set to dominate the vast majority of this clash as Djokovic again eases through a service hold, this time to 15. Tsonga fails to really get hold of a return and Djokovic narrows the gap once again as the Frenchman's flailing backhand return drops wide

After being broken by Federer in the opening game on Wednesday, Tsonga did not offer a single break point up to the Swiss third seed in an immense display of serving. Can he keep that up today?
-
DJOKOVIC 1-3 - Tsonga gets perhaps a little lucky when Djokovic nets an attempted backhand passing shot after the Frenchman had volleyed straight back to him. But it's a minor point anyway as the Frenchman holds to 15 to maintain his early lead
-
DJOKOVIC 1-2 - Better from Djokovic this time around as he finds his rhythm on his serve and holds to love when Tsonga sends a cross court backhand passing shot well wide, after setting off late thinking his sliced forehand before that wasn't going to clear the net
-
DJOKOVIC 0-2 - Tsonga sends a vicious cross court forehand into the top of the net to squander a first game point before slapping down a double fault, netting the second serve, to allow Djokovic to level up at deuce. A huge, unreturnable serve down the centre of the court gets the Frenchman back on track before he slices a backhand into the top of the net and the Serb gets a break point when Tsonga hits long. Tsonga saves it with a forehand down the line before going on to hold

DJOKOVIC 0-1 - BREAK - Tsonga earns himself an early break point with a huge cross court backhand followed by a backhand volley into the corner and finally a stretched backhand stop volley winner. And the Frenchman is off to a cracking start as he pushes Djokovic around the baseline eventually drawing a slack forehand from the Serb, who slaps a forehand long
-
The players are just about ready to go, watched by Princess Beatrice from the Royal Box today, and it will be Djokovic to get the clash underway by serving first ...

"Roger Federer was beaten in the quarters of Wimbledon by a great performance from Jo-Wilfried Tsonga" - so says Eurosport blogger Patrick Mouratoglou and not to many would disagree with him. Does he stand a chance today? Certainly Mouratoglou thinks so.
