SET! - FEDERER 6-1 7-6 CLARKE. Federer moves into a two-set lead courtesy of a 7-3 success in the tie break. Clarke was much improved in that set, but never really looked like breaking the Swiss or truly challenging in the TB.

FEDERER 6-1 3-4 CLARKE. That wasn't in the Federer script. The Swiss looks to up the ante, but Clarke stays dogged and works his way to a fine hold to 30.
FEDERER 6-1 3-3 CLARKE. Jay wins a point on the Federer serve, but it's as good as it gets. Federer has certainly got his mojo flowing without getting out of second gear.
