GAME, SET AND MATCH! - FEDERER 6-1 7-6 6-2 CLARKE. Federer breaks and completes victory in one hour and 36 minutes. The fairytale is over for British wildcard, Clarke who gave a good account of himself without ever looking like troubling the lord of the lawn.
FEDERER 6-1 7-6 5-2 CLARKE. It's a simple hold apiece and Federer is one game away from a simple passage into round three.
FEDERER 6-1 7-6 4-1 CLARKE. No danger for the No.2 seed. He waltzes to another love hold and probably has just a few more minutes on Court One.
FEDERER 6-1 7-6 3-1 CLARKE. A lovely crosscourt forehand claims a hold to love for Clarke and gets him on the board. No bagel for Roger today!
FEDERER 6-1 7-6 3-0 CLARKE. FedEx backs up the break with a game to 15 and is motoring towards round three now.
BREAK! - FEDERER 6-1 7-6 2-0 CLARKE. Audacious! Federer effectively breaks to love with a short slice return that borders on a drop shot.
FEDERER 6-1 7-6 1-0 CLARKE. No let up from Roger. He kicks off Set 3 with a love hold.
SET! - FEDERER 6-1 7-6 CLARKE. Federer moves into a two-set lead courtesy of a 7-3 success in the tie break. Clarke was much improved in that set, but never really looked like breaking the Swiss or truly challenging in the TB.
TB LATEST: Clarke led 2-1 but Federer stormed back to move 4-2 up at the change of ends.
UPSET ALERT!
FEDERER 6-1 6-6 CLARKE. The 2-time Grand Slam champion eases to a love hold and we are heading into a tie break.
FEDERER 6-1 5-6 CLARKE. Federer looks a tad frustrated and that's full credit to Clarke. He picks up another impressive hold under pressure and is guaranteed the minimum of a tie break.
FEDERER 6-1 5-5 CLARKE. It's a slightly twitchy moment for Federer as trails 15-30. But, of course, the Swiss rallies and drags himself level.
FEDERER 6-1 4-5 CLARKE. Federer blasts a forehand just wide at 15-15. He challenges, but to no avail and Clarke goes on to reel off the remaining points to stay in front at the business end of the set.
FEDERER 6-1 4-4 CLARKE. A crisp forehand to the postage stamp seals another simple hold for the Maestro.
FEDERER 6-1 3-4 CLARKE. That wasn't in the Federer script. The Swiss looks to up the ante, but Clarke stays dogged and works his way to a fine hold to 30.
FEDERER 6-1 3-3 CLARKE. Jay wins a point on the Federer serve, but it's as good as it gets. Federer has certainly got his mojo flowing without getting out of second gear.
