We're just a few minutes away from our coverage of the women's doubles final at Wimbledon, with Serena Williams teaming up with sister Venus to try and win a second final in a day.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 6-4 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: GAME, SET, MATCH! It wasn't going to be simple. Venus carves a slice long but Serena cuts off a point at the net. Babos smashes a winning forehand between the sisters but Shvedova hits a very makeable forehand long for 30-30. The most wayward of double faults concedes break point but Serena saves it, swatting away a backhand at the net. Babos hits a backhand wide to concede match point but kills a volley at the net to save them but then drags a forehand wide. And, inevitably, it’s Serena who wins it, killing a backhand volley at the net. What a day for her!

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 5-4 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: A thumping Venus overhead smash gets the sisters in the hunt at 15-15 but then she nets a howler of a volley with the court at her mercy. Shvedova puts away a regulation smash before a Babos ace asks the serve it out question.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 5-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Serena wants a second Wimbledon title in a day in a hurry, nailing a first serve. Venus nets a simple volley before making no mistake on the next and another big Serena serve up the tee brings two game points. Shvedova nets and the sisters are a game away.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 4-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Shvedova is upset at netting a forehand on the opening point before Serena puts away a reaction volley for 0-30. Shvedova fires long to concede two break points at 15-40 and a crunching Serena return seals the break of serve.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 3-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Shvedova slips on the second point but seems to be okay. Shvedova is all over the net to draw them level but a big Venus serve out wide restores the sisters advantage. Shvedova nets and it’s level again.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 2-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Babos reads a Serena forehand perfectly to split the sisters down the middle and Venus then nets a forehand return. Shvedova kills a forehand volley and Venus then returns long. It’s a love hold.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 2-2 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Venus smashes into the stands to get things underway before Serena drills a backhand into the doubles tramline. The singles champion then throws in a double fault but a poor Shvedova lob sails long. Another Serena ace levels it up again.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 1-2 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Another great game and a superb rally for yet another highlight reel is finally killed by Babos at the net. A Shvedova ace seals the game to 15.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 1-1 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Venus throws in another double to start with but makes amends with a huge serve up the middle to earn game point. And Serena ties it up with a volley that Shvedova can’t handle.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 0-1 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Serena wants this done in a hurry but her forehand is way wide before Venus nets a return. Serena completes a carbon copy forehand that goes wide before Shvedova smashes straight at Williams. No apology. That’s doubles.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 6-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: SET! Shvedova hits a return long but a wicked slice then flummoxes Serena at the net, turning like a Shane Warne leg break. Venus nets to go down 15-30 before Shvedova nets a backhand return but concedes break point with a backhand volley into the net. The sisters close the door again to save break point before Shvedova drives a forehand almost through Serena. Another break point comes and goes and the Williams sisters close out the set as Serena slams away a smash.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 5-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Serena hits long on the opening point but an unsuccessful challenge against a Venus forehand draws the sisters level. Lovely work from Shvedova after another quality rally edges them ahead once more but a double fault redresses the balance. Venus slams home a forehand to earn break point and then a lovely backhand earn a crucial break. Venus will serve for it.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 4-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Nice work from Shvedova at the net and even better with a backhand up the line puts the Williams’ in trouble again at 0-30. Serena recovers with a trademark big serve and Venus gets them level with a winning volley. Babos nets a return but Serena mistimes a backhand long. Yet another game goes to deuce and a cute Babos volley has the shrieking Serena scrambling in vain. All this bizarre Serena shrieking and squealing seems to unnerve Babos before the sisters come through a long deuce game.

WILLIAMS/WILLIAMS 3-3 SHVEDOVA/BABOS: Serena opens with an uncharacteristic wide return but makes amends with a winning forehand volley. Venus hammers home a smash to earn two break back points and Venus gets it done with a smart drop volley.
