Tomorrow it's the turn of the men - world number one Novak Djokovic against world number two Roger Federer.
So that's that. Serena Williams has shown exactly why she is world number one by holding all four Grand Slam titles at the same time at the age of 33. She has been comfortably the best player of the last 12 months.
Even Serena stands to applaud Muguruza as she fights back the tears to collect her trophy. Fantastic support from Williams as ever for all the younger players in the game.

Fantastic couple of weeks from Williams as she picks up the title 13 years after first winning it. But Muguruza proved just why she is being talked about as one of the best new talents in the women's game. The Spaniard is clearly devastated by the loss, and is struggling to hold back the tears as she sits down in her chair. She has a long way to go, as do most of the players on the women's tour, until they can beat Serena Williams in a Grand Slam but she gave a very good account of herself today.

Williams 6-4 6-4 Muguruza. Game, set and match. Serena Williams has completed the Serena Slam for the second time in her career, breaking Muguruza again to finally wrap up the title after letting a 5-1 lead slip in this second set. Credit to Muguruza for her massive fightback - and she gets a standing ovation for it. She will be a Grand Slam champion one day, that's for sure. Muguruza simply ran out of steam and Williams breaks to love to seal the win after Muguruza's forehand down the line goes just wide.

Williams 6-4 5-4 Muguruza. Break! Muguruza now is showing just why she will win multiple Grand Slams in the future as she fends off a match point to break for a second successive time and get this second set back on serve. The Spaniard whips a backhand passing shot across court for a winner to go 0-30 up before another cross court forehand winner brings up three break points. Williams saves the first with an ace and then also the third with an ace to level up at deuce. A third ace follows to bring up championship point but Muguruza denies her with a cross court forehand winner off the shorter ball. A booming forehand return from out wide from Muguruza that Williams can only return long brings up break point again although this also goes begging with a forehand return just marginally long. Hawkeye has to zoom in to confirm the call! Williams nets a forehand after some magnificent defence from Muguruza and this time the Spaniard does break with an inside out forehand winner across court.
Williams 6-4 5-3 Muguruza. All credit to Muguruza as she holds to keep herself in this match. Williams pulls a forehand wide across court to help Muguruza bring up two game points. The first goes begging when Williams belts a backhand return down the line for a winner. As does the second when Muguruza nets a low backhand attempted passing shot. But the Spaniard earns herself a third chance and this time she does hold when Williams pulls a running forehand wide across court.

Williams 6-4 5-2 Muguruza. Break. Wow. Williams is broken back to love by Muguruza, throwing in another double fault in the process. The pressure she puts on herself really got to her there and Muguruza took full advantage by doing all the right things - getting the ball back and deep and forcing Williams to go out and win it. The Spaniard breaks after Williams goes wide with an inside out forehand. It's still a long way back though and Muguruza will still have to serve to stay in this match after the change of ends.

Williams 6-4 4-1 Muguruza. Break. Ouch. Williams now is just one game away from her 21st Grand Slam title as she breaks Muguruza to love with an injection of pace on a forehand down the line, the Spaniard putting her over-stretched forehand into the bottom of the net.
Williams 6-4 5-1 Muguruza. Williams is on the downward slope to the title now as she races through a love service hold to consolidate the break, a big serve down the centre of the court doing the damage on game point as Muguruza pulls her off-balance forehand return wide across court. Williams will now serve for the title.

Williams 6-4 3-1 Muguruza. Break. Just a few signs now that Muguruza has lost her fight as she finds herself two more break points down after a netting a routine forehand. And Williams only needs the one chance to get the early break in this second set, reading the Muguruza serve perfectly and whipping her cross court forehand return just over the net to draw the error from Muguruza - another netted forehand.
Williams 6-4 2-1 Muguruza. Williams yells at herself in frustration after slapping down yet another double fault. A looping forehand long of the line helps Muguruza level at deuce but, typically, Williams comes up with a couple of big serves just when she needs them to hold without facing a break point.
Williams 6-4 1-1 Muguruza. Very impressive service hold from the Spaniard, who races through to love with a series of big first serves.
