WILLIAMS 6-2 5-4 – Serena throws in her FIFTH double fault and she looks out of sorts. She bends down and has a talking to herself after thwacking a backhand winner up the line before Sadikovic fires wide. She’s only a game away despite her worries.

WILLIAMS 6-2 4-4 – Sadikovic races to 40-0 and Williams looks worried. She takes a new racket out of its wrapper but it doesn’t work as she hits long. It’s 4-4!

WILLIAMS 6-2 3-2 – Serena consolidates her break, racing to 40-15 with some heavy serving and polishes off the game with a backhand winner into the open court.

WILLIAMS 6-2 2-2 - BREAK! As quickly as Sadikovic gets her nose in front in the second set, she gets pegged back again. Serena earns two break points at 40-15, and while she blows the first of them by going long she wins the game as her opponent double-faults on the very next point.

WILLIAMS 6-2 1-2 - BREAK! Shock for the Centre Court crowd as Serena loses her serve for the first time in the match! After the game goes to 30-30 a couple of unforced errors on the bounce see the American lose that game - and Sadikovic roars to the crowd in delight. What a turn-up!

WILLIAMS 6-2 1-1 - A morale-boosting hold of serve in the second game of the second set gives Sadikovic hope; she charges the net to set up game point at 40-15, and wraps it up a couple of points later with a punch of the air to celebrate.
