BERTENS 6-3 5-6 GOERGES. Both players are giving everything here and it's proving to be a real tussle. Goerges keeps Bertens at arm's length and produces a smart forehand winner to edge in front once more.

BERTENS 6-3 5-5 GOERGES. Yet another hold from deuce for Bertens, but it's nervy times as she has to fend off set point.

Not even a second double fault of the match can fluster Goerges as she produces one of her best service games of the match to edge in front at a key point in the set.

BERTENS 6-3 4-4 GOERGES. Kiki fends off break point and continues to stay mentally tough from deuce. It's all square at the business end of the set.

BREAK! - BERTENS 6-3 3-4 GOERGES. That's disappointing for Julia. She seemed to have her tail up and looked in control at 30-0 before letting it slip to 30-30. She needed to stay strong from there, but two unforced errors off the forehand allow Bertens back into the set.

BERTENS 6-3 2-4 GOERGES. That's some stubborn and highly effective work from Bertens. She's got a real headache at 0-30 and benefits from an unforced error from Goerges backhand before surging back to stay within one break of parity.

BERTENS 6-3 1-4 GOERGES. Julia fist pumps and shouts in joy towards her box as she comes through from deuce with a lovely forehand winner to consolidate.

BREAK! - BERTENS 6-3 1-3 GOERGES. Julia makes an important breakthrough. The German rifles a backhand drive down the line on her second break point after Bertens had threatened to wriggle free from deuce once again.

BERTENS 6-3 1-2 GOERGES. The No.13 seed does indeed raise her level, marauding through her best service game so far without dropping a point.

BERTENS 6-3 1-1 GOERGES. Kiki finishes off a hold to 30 with a neat volley to move level. At the moment she's in control. Goerges needs to up her game if she's to turn this in her favour.

BERTENS 6-3 0-1 GOERGES. Julia looks in the driving seat at 40-15 but is then made to sweat as Bertens makes deuce and works her way to a break point. The German staves it off and eventually prevails.
