KONTA 1-0 BOGDAN Konta gets going at her home slam with a hold, sealed with a lovely drop shot. But it wasn't all smooth sailing - there were a couple of suspect shots in there.

Konta is through to the second round after producing another break of serve. Her serve was excellent today and this was a very efficient performance.

Konta has the break! She leads 4-2 in the second set and she finally makes the breakthrough. Huge reception from the home crowd.

This was undoubtedly the toughest service game Konta has faced all day as Bogdan goes hard and pushes for the break. There are a couple of false shots from the Brit but she pulls through.

More of the same at the start of the second as the two players exchange holds. Bogdan was the more troubled of the two but an unforced error on Konta's backhand gets her level in the second set.

Konta has the first set! It's been a tight one, with neither player budging on serve but, serving to force a tiebreak, Bogdan breaks down and Konta has snuck it.

Pressure is steeped up on Bogdan once again as Konta holds to 15.

Konta makes a move on the Bogan serve, getting to deuce but the Romanian grinds out the hold and we're level after two games.
