OSAKA IS OUT! It's a big shock on Centre Court as the reigning Australian and US Open champion is beaten in straight sets by Putintseva, 7-6, (4), 6-2. Grass just isn't her surface yet.

ON THE BRINK! This could be it for Osaka. Putintseva now has a double break in this second set. Osaka is finding it really difficult to generate the pace on her groundstrokes! Wow.

INTO A TIE BREAK! Putintseva had a look at the Osaka serve at 30-30 and then again at 40-40. But the second set sends a forehand winner past Putintseva on game point and into a first set tie break we go.
