BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 3-6: Wawrinka lets out a huge roar as he makes it 30-15 but this time the net cord falls in favour of his opponent as the game levels at 30-30. A brave second serve sees Berdych go long and it is match point for the Swiss. Berdych goes long again and that’s a debut win.

BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 3-5: Berdych makes it a relatively easy hold to 15 and the Swiss just has to hold and the match is his.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 2-5: The Swiss gets to 30-0 with ease before a long return from Berdych sees Wawrinka to 40-0. He takes the game courtesy of a tremendous second serve.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 2-4: Wawrinka takes the first point of the next game but some solid serving gets Berdych to 30-15 but a double lets him down again. That’s his eighth. 30-30. Berdych manages to see the game out though – can’t say whether that apparent injury is having an impact. Wawrinka’s service game should reveal that.

Oh dear. Wawrinka has the trainer out for what looks like some tightness of the quad.
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 1-4: A massive swing in momentum here as some great hitting from the Swiss sees him to 30-0. Wawrinka holds to love to move into what is looking like an unassailable lead.

BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 1-3: A double from the Czech gives Wawrinka another break point that he duly takes courtesy of another testing baseline rally.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 1-2: News balls for the fourth game of the decider, which you’d imagine would help the big serve of the Czech but his serve has been wildly inconsistent and the Swiss has a 30-15 lead. Berdych had lost all seven points on his second serve but shows considerable courage to go for a big second at 30-15 down and that courage is rewarded as the Swiss nets. Wawrinka’s loose forehand gives Berdych game-point, which he passes on. Another big game this one!
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 1-2: Wawrinka does well to retain his composure to secure the next game with comparative ease as he takes it to 15.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 1-1: Berdych wins two points on the spin and then thinks a Wawrinka backhand is long and is sure he has the game but it was in – two solid points from Berdych secures what could turn out to be a pivotal game.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 0-1: Berdych is certainly growing into this match as he takes a 30-15 lead but Wawrinka shows a lovely range of shot to take control of a rally and finish with the trademark single-handed backhand. Berdych aces to get to game point but then doubles. Deuce. Berdych comes out on top of another rally to get to advantage but that backhand from Wawrinka has the measure of the Czech. Deuce. Wawrinka gets lucky with a net cord to get his first break point. Big game now!
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7-6 0-1: Great response from Wawrinka who takes a 40-0 advantage with some solid serving. He duly holds to love as Berdych goes long.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 7(0)-6: Berdych races into a 3-0 lead in the tie break as Wawrinka’s backhand inexplicably lets him down. Berdych then holds his two service points to go 5-0 – Berdych destroys the Swiss in the tie break. 7-0.

BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 6-6: Berdych produces a wonderful return on Wawrinka’s second serve to take a 30-15 advantage before two serves down the centre of the court sets up game point. Two arrow-like forehands that Berdych does well to get to sets up a sliced volley for the game and it is a tie-break.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 6-5: Sustained quality from the baseline from Wawrinka sees the Swiss take the first point of the 11th game but the Czech rallies to get to 40-15 before a wild attempted backhand pass goes long from the Swiss and that’s the game.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 5-5: Wawrinka trashes an ace down in the first point as he serves to stay in the set. He gets to 30-0 but a long backhand from the Swiss cuts the arrears. Wawrinka comes to the net to get to 40-15 before an ace secures the game.
-
BERDYCH – WAWRINKA 3-6 5-4: With Berdych under pressure at 30-30 Wawrinka goes long but challenges and it was in. A tremendous serve from the replayed point sees Berdych to 40-30 but he goes long after a rally to see the game back to deuce. Berdych comes out on top of another lengthy rally to take the game minutes later.
-
Some controversy at the end of the last game there – a Wawrinka serve was wide but Berdych hadn’t called it and Wawrinka takes the game from that wide serve with a backhand.
