For the first time in this opening set, Jankovic causes Zvonareva serious problems on her serve. The Russian is taken to deuce and has to produce two extremely well-worked points to wriggle her way out of trouble. Zvonareva is now just a single game from taking the opening set!

Jankovic holds to get herself back on track in this opening set, and that is better from the world number eight, despite Zvonareva applying real pressure from 30-30 but to no avail.
