GAME, SET AND MATCH ZVONAREVA! A crunching winner on the forehand side by Zvonareva is good enough for a 30-0 love before Wozniacki knocks a forehand long to bring up three match points. Wozniacki knocks a backhand into the net, and that is that. A break to love and she takes the set 6-3 and the match 6-2 4-6 6-3. Right back in this tournament.
5-3
A quite brilliant response from Zvonareva, who is bouncing around after coming up with some of her best, aggressive tennis to move to within one game of the match. Wozniacki will serve to stay alive.
4-3
A love game from Wozniacki as Zvonareva suddenly starts to misfire as a couple of loose shots begin to fly off her racket. Dangerous times for the Russian having led 4-1. SHe will serve for a 5-3 advantage.

BREAK TO WOZNIACKI! The Dane refusing to buckle as she breaks back immediately. The world number one sweating gallons of her trademark spirit to keep Zvonareva within touching distance. Back to within one break.

BREAK TO ZVONAREVA! There is the double break. Wozniacki broken to love and this match is rapidly slipping away from the Dane against an opponent who has stuck to her task admirably in the third set. She is being rewarded for going for the jugular rather than hanging back and waiting for Wozniacki to make mistakes.
3-1
A thumping shot from deep helps Zvonareva wrong foot Wozniacki as she recovers from 30-15 behind. Wozniacki looking a bit frustrated. The power of the Russian continues to impress as we reach the two-hour mark in this match.
2-1
Wozniacki hanging in there as she is tested again by the power of Zvonareva, who will serve holding what could yet be a crucial break of serve.
2-0
Zvonareva regaining her stride in this match. Serving with authority and comes up with a thumping forehand winner to cement the early break for a 2-0 lead in the match. Pressure back on Wozniacki.

BREAK TO ZVONAREVA! Wozniacki forced to fend off a break point with an overhead winner converted with an outstanding smash. Zvonareva long seconds later from the back of the court as a second break point disappears. The Russian is finally rewarded for her play as Wozniacki dumps a forehand into the net. Early advantage for Zvonareva.

SET WOZNIACKI! The world number one levels at 1-1 with the third set point after Zvonerava had saved a couple of points, incuding one with an ace. A double fault and a mistimed groundstroke from deep that fails to clear the net is enough for Wozniacki to level. Zvonareva's levels dropped in that game and she is broken at the key time.
4-5
Wozniacki simply superb in that game. Another service game goes by with no breaks of serve. Neither lady wanting to give this set up. Wozniacki seems to be hitting the ball harder now than at any other stage of the match.
4-4
Zvonareva levels again at 4-4. The Russian player with just the one ace in the match but her service game has been outstanding. Some great defensive strokes to keep Wozniacki at bay. At the business end of this set, nothing in this match.
3-4
Some outstanding play from both women in that game. Another deuce game, but Wozniacki comes up with a supreme overhead smash to bring up advantage before pocketing the next point for a 4-3 lead. Great character from Wozniacki. Both ladies really going for it at this stage of what is turning out to be an epic contest.
3-3
Zvonareva continues to go for her shots with some relish, and continues to get them. Looked in a bit of a hole at 30-30, but a couple of venomous bullets fly past Wozniacki as we are once again locked at 3-3 in this second set. No breaks so far.
2-3
A quite stunning lob from Zvonareva to level at deuce after Wozniacki was left stranded in no man's land in mid court. Zvonareva continues to excel with a drop shot bringing Wozniacki to the net before floating the backhand over for an easy winner. Zvonareva misses the break point as a return on the second serve flies too long. Wozniacki survives the Zvonareva charge to move ahead by the odd game in five in this second set. We remain on serve.
2-2
News to bring you that Maria Sharapova has pulled out of the tournament to be replaced by Marion Bartoli on Friday. That means Wozniacki will end the season as number one, but she is far from number one in this match. Zvonareva comes up with another quite superb effort to hold serve and level at 2-2. Some splend shots to restore parity.
1-2
No room for error in this match for Wozniacki. Holds serve with a competent game. Still not overly pleased with how her forehand is materialising this evening. Zvonareva has reached four finals this year, winning the titles at Doha and Baku; she was runner-up at Carlsbad.
1-1
Wozniacki is not going to slip quietly into the night, but she is finding Zvonareva a tough nut to crack out there. The Russian throws in another double fault, but is good enough to see the game through to level at 1-1.
0-1
Wozniacki holds serve, but not with any great ease as the opening game of the second set runs to deuce. Zvonareva with 18 winners to only three from Wozniacki. She is taking the game to the world number one, but can she keep the momentum on her side?
6-2

SET TO ZVONAREVA! Stunning stuff from the Russian player who sees out the set with a love game on serve. Manages to wrong foot Wozniacki from the back of the court with a forehand winner across court. Exceptional play. Wozniacki with work to be done.
