"I don't think there's necessarily any more pressure on me than there has been the whole week." said the Brisbane native.
"I want to win the final and get my first title and hopefully it happens at home. Hopefully the nerves won't kick in too much."
Stosur will next face number two seed Patty Schnyder of Switzerland after Schnyder defeated Tatiana Golovin of France 3-6 6-4 6-3.
Schnyder was also in optimistic mood ahead of the final, adding: "I'm happy that I had a longer match. I'm playing well and I had to step up my game because she was hitting the ball really good."
