Russia bring in bronze

Russia, beaten by Hungary in the 2000 Olympic final in Sydney, had to stave off a brave fightback by the Greeks, who rallied from 5-3 down to 5-5, with everything to play for in the closing minutes.
Georgios Afroudakis played a prominent part for Greece, scoring three goals, but Russia had the last word to the frustration of the home crowd who whistled as the Russians held possession in the Olympic outdoor pool.
Marat Zakirov scored the crucial goal just over two minutes before the end for Russia.
Greece's fourth place represented their highest Olympic position, beating the sixth place they achieved at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
They were beaten by Serbia and Montenegro in the semi-finals this time. Greece took silver in the women's tournament when they were beaten 10-9 by Italy in the final.
