Chesterfield goalkeeper Aaron Chapman could be fit for the start of the 2015/16 season after undergoing ankle surgery.
Chapman has been out since October when he had an operation on his left ankle to strengthen ligaments.
The 24-year-old went under the knife again recently, this time to address a similar problem with his right ankle, and Spireites head of sports science and medicine Rodger Wylde is confident the surgery was a success.
He told the club's official website: "The operation went well and Aaron had his lateral ligament reconstruction. He had the other ankle done some months ago and then this one gave way so we needed to get this one done as well.
"The prognosis is to be in a cast for four weeks and then eight weeks progressive rehab after that, then he should be back and playing some time between late-July and mid-August.
"Once he's recovered he should be back and firing on all cylinders. The operation on his other ankle was a great success so there's no reason why this one wouldn't be."
