Marco Odermatt stretched his overall FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup lead with giant slalom success in Alta Badia.
The reigning world and Olympic champion in the discipline led after the first run but the pressure was on second time around after Croatia's Filip Zubcic laid down the gauntlet with a 1:14.28 second run.
But the Swiss ace, 26, was up to the challenge and clocked a 1:14.40, enough to finish 0.19s clear of Zubcic overall and assert his giant slalom dominance following victory in Val d'Isere last weekend.
Slovenia's Zan Kranjec won bronze, edging out Marco Schwarz - who now sits 72 points behind Odermatt in the battle for Crystal Globe honours.
The victorious Odermatt said: "The snow was better than expected on the second run.
"It was not as bumpy as I thought so I still tried to push. I thought it was a good run.
"Not sure where the energy is, but one more day and two more runs - I will give it my all."
