Lisa Buckwitz clinched a brilliant Innsbruck hat-trick with 2-woman Bobsleigh World Cup victory on Sunday morning.

The German had grabbed a pair of monobob golds earlier in the weekend and translated her hegemony into the dual event alongside push athlete Vanessa Mark.

The 2018 PyeongChang 2-woman Olympic champion, 29, toppled compatriots and world champions Kim Kalicki and Leonie Fiebig to cap a memorable weekend on the Austrian ice.

Lochner and Fleischhauer fire on dream day for Germany

Fellow Germans Laura Nolte and Neele Schuten, who triumphed in the first 2-woman World Cup event of the season in La Plagne last weekend, secured the final spot on the podium and remain narrowly top of the standings heading into next month's event in St. Moritz.

German giant Francesco Friedrich turned the Innsbruck tables on compatriot Johannes Lochner to grab victory in Sunday's 4-man event.

The five-time Olympic and 14-time world champion, 33, finished second alongside Alexander Schuller as Lochner and Georg Fleischhauer grabbed 2-man gold on Saturday.

But alongside Candy Bauer and Felix Straub, Friedrich and Schuller clinched victory ahead of Lochner, Fleischhauer, Erec Bruckert and Joshua Tasche as a polished pair of runs propelled them to glory by 0.14s.

'Phenomenal, textbook performance' - Friedrich retains two-man bobsleigh title

Latvian quartet Emils Cipulis, Davis Springis, Matiss Miknis and Krists Lindenblats bagged bronze but it remains all about the Germans at the summit of the World Cup standings, with little to separate Friedrich and Lochner heading into the new year.
