Spain clinch dramatic win over Germany at Mixed World Curling Championships, Sweden top of Group A, Canada unbeaten

Spain kept their winning run alive with victory over Germany, whilst Norway sit unbeaten after reaching their half-way point at the Mixed Curling World Championships in Aberdeen, Scotland. Canada also continued their unbeaten start after claiming a 7-2 win over Australia. Hosts Scotland have now lost in back-to-back matches, which includes an 8-7 defeat to Japan.

Spain roared to a dramatic 5-4 victory over Germany to keep their unbeaten run alive at the Mixed Curling World Championships.
Led by skip Sergio Vez, Spain were pushed all the way by a strong German team who drew their first loss of the competition in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Team Vez pulled ahead early with two points in the first end, but were equally matched by German skip Felix Schulze and it soon became a tense head-to-head battle with the score sitting at 4-4 ahead of the final end.
But Spain ultimately came out as victorious, with a single stone sealing the deal and clinching their third win in three games to keep atop of Group C.
Johan Nygren's Sweden continue to top Group A after four games and have now reached the half way point of their group competition, whilst reigning champions Canada continued their unbeaten start with a 7-2 triumph over Australia.
Hosts Scotland currently sit on one win from four after suffering two losses on the bounce in Aberdeen, including a narrow 8-7 defeat to Japan that went all the way to the eighth end.
The highest margin of victory currently sits with Norway, who defeated Nigeria 17-1 in session four.
