Pinot, Zakarin, Niabli is the order. The gap to the chasing group was 15 seconds. Quintana retains pink, Nibali second and Pinot third. Dumoulin has defended really well but is in fourth, 58 seconds down.

Pozzovivo makes his move but Pinot reacts, and he takes the stage. And the 10 seconds bonus for the win.

Quintana is at the head of the lead group as they pass under the flamme rouge.
3km
Yates on the front of the chasing group – 19 seconds behind and throw in the 10 seconds for the stage winner, too, and this is beginning to look like trouble for the chasing group.

The leading group kick again and re-open their advantage. There are bonus seconds for the first three over the line, too, of course.

Yates and Jungels are duking it out for the white jersey and they are both in the chasing group – Yates with the advantage as it stands.

Dumoulin, Yates and Jungels putting in a shift in the chasing group – they have got the gap down to 10 seconds. The final 5kms are downhill with a kick at the end to the finish.

Pinot, Quintana and Nibali close the gap to Zakarin and Pozzovivo. Gap to Dumoulin group is 30 seconds.

Everyone needs time - the gap to Dumoulin is 27 seconds.

There are bonus seconds for the winner and Pinot, Quintana and Nibali are closing on Zakarin and Pozzovivo as they approach the summit.
16km
Quintana, Pinot and Nibali kick again – they open up a gap again as they approach the summit. Pinot leading the way here. The gap opens again to Dumoulin, who is looking for allies. Zakarin and Pozzovivo are 19 seconds up the road.
17km
Quintana attacks again as the gradient hits 11%. However, Jungels takes up the slack in the chasing group and Jungels and Dumoulin are back with Quintana and Nibali.

Zakarin and Pozzovivo are going well at the front and have a 15-second lead over Nibali and Quintana. Pinot has managed to bridge over to Nibali and Quintana, with Dumoulin a further 15 seconds back. Pinot, who can time trial, is at the head of that little group. Dumoulin having to set the pace of the chasing group.

Quintana attacks and Nibali follows – they are working together and have opened up a gap over the other GC contenders. There are nine seconds between the two groups. Zakarin and Pozzovivo have passed Teuns.
21km
Nibali is not happy – he is gesticulating at Quintana who he felt did not do enough there. Still no crack from Dumoulin. Zakarin now attacks and Pozzovivo follows. They are in the mix in the GC.

Nibali attacks. There is a slight gap to Dumoulin – there are gaps appearing. Quintana is on Nibali’s wheel. Zakarin takes over at the front of the group but Dumoulin has reacted and makes up a gap of 10 to 12 metres.
