Hello and welcome to live coverage of stage 13 of the Tour de France - a very much sombre individual time trial (37.5km from Bourg-Saint-Andeol to La Caverne du Pont-D-Arc) which has been overshadowed by the atrocities taking place last night in nearby Nice. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the shocking events.

Froome is 48 seconds down at the third check, which sounds a lot but it's the second best time so it means he's up on all his rivals. He will extend his lead in the yellow jersey today.

Richie Porte on the rollers appeared downcast and crestfallen after his effort. "It hurt like hell. Yesterday with the motorbike didn't help. We'll see in a bit with the other GC guys. I'm a little bit sore and disappointed."

Meanwhile, Nairo Quintana almost loses it on a bend - his wheel locks up and he is forced to ride wide and close to the crowds on the apex of the bend. Quintana was 50 seconds down at 7km.
