Wiggins, all in white, looks like poetry in motion. His position and technique is faultless.
15:25
Spain's Juan Jose Cobo at the start. He's Geox's main man for the GC given the patchy form of both Sastre and Menchov.

Janez Brajkovic sets the second-best time at the first check, 13 seconds down on Martin. That's great riding from the Slovenian, who like Wiggins crashed out of the Tour in July.

After an understandably timid first week in sweltering Spain, Britain's Bradley Wiggins came alive in a thrilling finale to Sunday's stage nine to the ski resort of La Covatilla. On Sunday's final climb, a reinvigorated Wiggins rode as if he was performing a mountain time trial to a soundtrack of The Kinks' Greatest Hits. Getting in to a strong rhythm, Wiggins juggernauted up to La Covatilla like a thinner and less reckless Jan Ullrich in his prime.

Yesterday's winner Dan Martin (Garmin) has left, and now we have Britain's Bradley Wiggins (Sky) heading on the road. It's going to be a big hour for Wiggins - at the end, he'll know just how much of a Grand Tour contender he really is.

Luis Leon Sanchez continues his strong ride: he's 1:07 down on Martin at the second check, but that's the second-best time for the Spaniard - five seconds quicker than Cancellara, even.

Sky's Chris Froome bounds down the ramp to get his ITT under way. It will be interesting to see hwo he rides on his own and not alongside Bradley Wiggins... the two have been inseparable over the last 10 days.

RadioShack's Tiago Machado sets the second-best time at the first check, 18 seconds down on Martin and two quicker than Sanchez.

Michele Scarponi has just started. The Italian had an off day yesterday, dropping to 18th in the GC.

Sanchez goes through the first check just 20 seconds down on Martin. Not bad from the Spaniard. He's riding very well and passes two riders in quick succession.

And now Janez Brajkovic, the first of the top 20, is on his way. The RadioShack man will be looking to make up for yesterday's showing, where he lost almost a minute and a half to Wiggins.

Denis Menchov is at the start. It's a very small ramp compared to the huge monster we had in Benidorm for the TTT. The Russian gets his ITT under way. He's 2:18 down on Mollema in the GC, in 21st, but he should rise a bit today.

Talansky drops behind Cancellara at the second check, but he's still in third place, 1:15 down on Martin and three seconds behind the Swiss.

Spain's Carlos Sastre (Geox) has started. The 2008 Tour de France winner is 4:43 down in 31st place on the GC. He'll be further back than that tonight, that's for sure.

Spanish time trial champion Luis Leon Sanchez (Rabobank) has just rolled down the ramp. He's had a quiet race so far.

American rider Andrew Talansky (Garmin) has set a surprise second-best time at the first check. He's 37 seconds down on Martin, but five seconds quicker than Cancellara.
14:35
Interestingly, yesterday's winner Dan Martin (Garmin) has swapped places with Wiggins in the starting order to stop the British Sky rider setting off just after his team-mate Chris Froome. Martin is 12th in the GC, with Wiggins 13th and Froome 14th.
14:33
Unfortunately, we have no recent head-to-heads between Italian Vincenzo Nibali and Wiggins. The defending champion is just nine seconds down on Mollema in the GC and leads Wiggins by 51 seconds. Wiggins will start his ITT today at 15:20 GMT with Nibali due to start at 15:38.

The clear dangerman amongst the GC contenders is Bradley Wiggins. In the Criterium du Dauphine, Wiggins finished second to Tony Martin in the 42.5km ITT. But the Briton beat Joaquim Rodriguez by 3:43 and Jurgen van den Broeck by 2:28. In the earlier 27km ITT in Paris-Nice (also won by Martin), Wiggins beat current red jersey Bauke Mollema by 1:18 and fourth-place Fredrik Kessiakoff by a lavish 4:45.

We have a new leader: Tony Martin has smashed Fabian Cancellara's previous landmark time by 1:27 at the finish. The new top three is: 1. Martin 55:53, 2. Cancellara at 1:27, 3. Phinney at 1:33. There are going to be some massive losses today, that's for sure.

Tony Martin builds on his impressive early ride to set the fastest time at the second check, 1:12 clear of Cancellara's effort.
