The two remaining escapees have a minute on the peloton, which is not nearly enough with another ascent to Cumbre del Sol still to tackle.

Vilela and Mas have a little handshake as the peloton swamps them. Two riders from wildcard teams who've put on a great show today. Just Soler and Ludvigsson out front now.

So, as it stands, we have Marc Soler and Tobias Ludvigsson at the head of the race. They have a minute on their erstwhile breakaway companions. Then, at 1'41" back is the peloton, being headed by Cannondale.
Ah, yes, there he is. Safely back into the warm embrace of the peloton. Worth a try, young Romain, good effort.

Telemetry is suggesting that Romain Bardet has attacked out of the peloton in an attempt to bridge across to the break. Just trying to confirm that.
Cannondale riders battling to get back to the front of the peloton now.
As the riders navigate this descent, let's remind ourselves of the most audacious moment of the stage so far...

That's the first ascent of the climb done and dusted. No shots fired in the GC fight, but the break is in bits. It's a good old downhill smash all the way into the town of Javea now - let's see if they can join back up.
As the favourites approach the final ramps of the climb, Sky are all present and correct at the front, but the peloton is super strung-out now.
Oh, there's Connor Dunne. He's been swallowed by the peloton.
The two leaders, Mas and Soler, have crossed the 'summit' of the second category climb.
I thought I saw Thomas De Gendt sneaking up the side of the peloton there...
Connor 'El Alto' Dunne has, predictably, vanished on this painfully steep climb.
Peter Stetina's mosutache is visible at the front of the peloton. Also, Peter Stetina.
Soler has overhauled Vilela and Mas, taking Ludvigsson with him as they close in on the summit.
David Lopez setting the pace in the peloton for Sky. It's all quite relaxed to be honest, or as relaxed as you can be riding up a 15% incline.
Mas, Vilela and Ludvigsson looking great. Marc Soler is chasing down.
And Cannondale have vanished from the front of the peloton now. Gone is the wall of green jerseys, replaced by the lone spotted one of Davide Villella.
Manzana Postobon's Ricardo Vilela is also in the front trio on the climb, with Ludvigsson and Vilela. They've gapped the rest of the break.
Lluis Mas (Caja Rural) is leading the way up the climb for the break, while the peloton is just hitting the lower slopes.
It doesn't muck around either, we're straight into the brutally steep gradients
