ONE OF AFGANISTAN'S WOMEN TOPPLES OUT OF THE GATE
Eliciting an "Oh no no no" from a sympathetic Rob Hatch, as Zahra Rezayee falls before even getting down the ramp at the changeover. She's back up, and riding again, but that won't help their time. Meanwhile the UCI World Cycling Centre men have blow every time before theirs out of the water, as they hand over to the women.

UZBEKISTAN MEN PASS THE PROVERBIAL BATON
Hopefully their women are ready to take it, as they're coming up to the house out of the expected order.

MECHANICAL FOR JINYJANG JU
The Chinese rider drops a chain on that twisty climb we saw so many times on Sunday. A bit too early to dispense with a team-mate, so that's going to slow the whole team down. One team not having any trouble (well, not much) is Uzbekistan who pass the Afghan riders.

UKRAINE'S MEN DOWN THE RAMP
Big roar greets Maksym Bilyi, Vitalii Novakovskiyi, and Dmytro Polupan as they out out into the Glasgow sunshine. Yes, sunshine in Glasgow. Something wrong there.

AFGHANISTAN STRUGGLING TO STAY TOGETHER
One of their riders, Ahmad Mirzaee, is clearly in a bit of difficulty on an uphill section of the course. The time is set at the passage of the second rider, so it might be that some teams will jettison one man or woman who is unable to contribute, but they won't want to do that too early, lest they make it too hard for the remaining pair.

AFGHANISTAN AND UZBEKISTAN OUT ON THE 42 TURN COURSE
And the men from the UCI World Cycling Centre team, made up of riders from a mix of different nations, has just headed down the ramp as well. This course would be a challenge for the most dialled and experienced time trialist, let alone someone less familar with a stiff carbon TT bike. I also wouldn't want to be going up that Montrose Street climb on a bike as heavy as these ones.

THE SUPER WORLDS CONTINUES…
Welcome back to Glasgow, as we resume on the road with live coverage of the mixed TTT relay. As infrequently as it occurs, and still being relatively new to the calendar, this event might be unfamiliar to many of you. The format is a twist on the traditional TTT, with each nation’s three chosen men taking to the course first, before handing over to their women. The men’s run time combined with that of the women will give us the total for each country. The total distance will be 39km.
The first nation who have just headed out on Argyle Street is a group of proud amateurs from Afghanistan. Don’t expect them to contest the rainbows, but the crowd is sure to be on their side.
