Corner after Adler is forced to palm a very ferocious effort from distance by Boateng. It comes into the near post but Gregoritsch gets his head to it and almost scores an own goal. Another corner but it goes out for a goal kick.

Superb football from Bayern. Lahm lays the ball down the channel for Robben who sees Muller running inside of him so he flicks the ball behind him. Muller takes it past one but he can't get round Spahic who blocks his run very well.

Silly free kick to give away by Vidal as he climbs all over Jung on the half way line. Unfortunately Holtby's ball to the far post is seen out easily by Boateng.

CHANCE! Another chance as Alaba and Costa exchange passes down the left. Costa puts a low first time cross into the box and meets Muller around 14 yards out. He hooks the ball with his left foot but the ball just flies low past the post.

Benatia a bit naughty there as he lifts his arm a bit higher than he should of as Schipplock looked to be getting round him to the ball. Could have been a lot nastier, that. Think he might have got away with one there.

GOAL! Benatia with an easy header as Alonso floats the ball in to the far post. Benatia gets up highest and only has to flick the ball with his head and it flies into the bottom corner.

Yellow to Diekmeier after Costa bursts through a gap in the defence and in on goal but he is brought down. Free kick around 35 yards out on the left. Costa is down receiving treatment.

I remember watching Bayern play last season against Borussia Munchengladbach at home and they lost that game. Hamburg have set up exactly the same and though they have a lot less quality, there are serious comparisons to draw.

Robben plays a one-two with Lahm down the wing. The low cross to the near post where Lewandowski was making his way to is cut out by Spahic though.

One for the scrapbook. A poor pass from Alonso sees the ball fly over Robben's head as he stands just yards away from the Spaniard on the touchline.

CHANCE! Bayern with the fluent play and get it wide to Lahm. Perfect cross to Lewandowski who tries to guide the ball into the top corner but it flies just over the cross bar.

Good flick from Schipplock but the ball comes wide to Gregoritsch but he can't bring it under as the ball rolls under his foot and out for a throw in Bayern's half.

Boateng the second to be booked after spending too long on the ball, being dispossessed by Schipplock and then as he tries to get away, the Bayern defender just tugs him and brings him down.

Alonso whips the ball in and finds Lewandowski in the middle but his header is poor as it glances off his forehead and out for a goal kick.

Costa brings the ball down superbly well on the left. He swings a ball to the near post but Djourou is able to clear for a corner.

Bayern back in possession but their movement off the ball is a bit static at the moment and Boateng proves that with a long lofty ball which Costa has no chance of winning.

Free kick as Costa tugs at Dirkmeier who was shielding the ball int he right back position. Hamburg go long with Adler and hope to get Schipplock in behind but Benatia clears well.
