That's a real shame for Gnabry. He was really starting to come into his own for Bayern Munich, scoring four goals in his last five games. The winter break comes at the right time for him.

Indeed, the change is required and Ribery comes on for the injured Gnabry.

Gnabry is down! Uh oh. This could be a problem for Bayern Munich. Gnabry looks to have pulled up and is sat down on the Allianz Arena turf. Could this be his game over?

Indeed, the replays show that Gulacsi just got a touch on the shot from Lewandowski. The former Liverpool goalkeeper's intervention was enough to keep the Polish striker out.

How didn't he score? Lewandowski was clean through. Gnabry slotted him through, Lewandowski beats Gulacsi, but his shot comes off the inside of the post and behind. It's a corner, so was it a save?

Bruma... on target! The RB Leipzig attacker cut inside off the left wing and got the shot away on goal. But Neuer watched it all the way and made the comfortable diving save.

Werner has 10 league goals for the season so far. He has four in his last five games and he will be the danger man for RB Leipzig this evening. He can score against any opponent.

Going back to the Hernandez news, Bayern Munich have confirmed that they will be overhauling their squad and spending big, but most assumed that would happen in the summer.

That was an awkward one for Hummels, who just had to get rid of the ball after being put under pressure by the pass from Alaba. RB Leipzig can't make use of the position.

It's been a mixed season for RB Leipzig so far. They have done okay in the Bundesliga, but they crashed out in the group stages of the Europa League last week. Disappointing.

RB Leipzig are now getting a grip of the game. They are still second best in terms of possession, but they look comfortable in the face of Bayern Munich having the ball.

That was easy enough for Gulacsi. Kimmich played the cross into the opposition penalty area, but it was far too close to the RB Leipzig goalkeeper, who can make the easy catch.

One bit of Bayern Munich related news today is that the Bavarians are expected to sign Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid for £80m when the January window opens. They have activated his release clause.

RB Leipzig win a corner kick, but Bayern Munich effectively defend the delivery from Kampl and then they force Bruma wide as well. The away side must use their set pieces.

Of course, Kovac has struggled over the early part of his Bayern Munich career. The former Eintracht Frankfurt boss has struggled to make his mark on the German champions.

This has been a pretty strong start from Bayern Munich who are dictating things early on. RB Leipzig are having to do a lot of chasing, but they do have quality on the counter.
