Favalli signs for Inter

Italy defender Giuseppe Favalli has left Lazio after 12 seasons with the Rome club to join Serie A rivals Inter Milan. Inter said on their official website Favalli had signed a two-year contract with the club, who finished fourth in Serie A this season.

Favalli is part of Giovanni Trapattoni's squad preparing for Euro 2004 where he is reserve to left-back Gianluca Zambrotta.

The 32-year-old defender joined Lazio in 1992 from Cremonese and was part of Sven Goran Eriksson's title winning side in 2000.
