Essien plays Sturridge through but the flag is up. He got a touch excited perhaps and went too early.

Headed wide by Ceesay! Cech's save didn't go out and Jez I think swung the cross in.

Super save Cech from an even better shot by Vladavic! He fires a superb shot, low and dipping, from the edge of the box which Cech got down to tip away from the right-hand post.

Strangely the teams are now even on attempts, with 10 apiece. Just goes to show how important composure and finshing are.

Cech saves low at his near post after a positive run from Mraz. No hassle for the Czech Republic star though.

Oravez with a mazy dribble after a slack pass from Malouda, but Essien chases back to tackle him.

GREAT BLOCK PECALKA! Malouda was sliding the ball into the empty net but the defender got enough to put it wide. That all came from a rapid break, Zhirkov racing clear to set up the Frenchman.

Bello has a pop which takes a big deflection but trickles slowly enough such that Cech can keep it in

ZIlina knock the ball about nicely enough without threatening to penetrate.

Anelka could be in on the left but Piacek dispossesses him and Zilina clear.

Mikel gives away a free-kick in midfield. Played short to Pecalka but his hopeful shot is blocked with ease.

Terry pops up on the left wing and he could be in but his low cross is straight at the keeper, who spills it but reaches the rebound before Anelka.

Chelsea have only had one more attempt than Zilina - six to seven - but are out of sight. 60% of possession to the visitors though.

Unlike Manchester United's second string, Chelsea's fringe players - such as Sturridge, Zhirkov, Mikel, Benayoun - have done the business. Expect Gael Kakuta to get a run out later too.
