Ramires gets a shot away inside the box with the outside of his right boot but after Buffon parries it away, Oscar is unable to latch onto the loose ball.

Chelsea are looking to regain control of this game having allowed Juventus back in with that Vidal goal, but it has set things up perfectly for the second half.

What a first half this has been. Two good teams, full of attacking intent. It makes a change from Chelsea's performances in the competition last season.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Juventus! Vidal, who earlier suffered a knock to his a ankle, scores a lovely goal. Marchisio plays the ball square and the midfielder takes a fine touch to find space 20 yards from goal and rolls a shot through the legs of Terry and inside the far post.

Juve go in search of a reply before half time but Vucinic can't find a way through. The Italian champions probe down the centre and down the right but can't find a way through.

Cole plays a pass forward to the young playmaker and with his first touch he plays the ball to one side of Pirlo and spins around, before coming to meet it again and with his second touch bending a wonderful shot into the far corner.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Juventus! Oscar scores on his first start for the Blues! He has been quiet so far tonight but after receiving a square pass from Hazard he takes a touch 20 yards from goal and sees his drive deflect up off the leg of Bonucci and over the arm of Buffon.

Big chance for Juve! Ivanovic plays a loose pass straight to Vidal and after he slips in Vucinic, the striker has time to measure up a shot from the right of the box but thumps the ball into the side netting. Disappointing.

Only a half-chance for Ramires as he gets a shot away from inside the box but hammers it high into the West London sky.

It is an interesting corner routine as Pirlo plays the ball along the floor to Vucinic at the near post. The striker tries to flick the ball into the path of Vidal first time but Chelsea intercept and clear before the Chile midfielder can get a shot away.

Lichtsteiner pulls the ball back for Vucinic from wide on the right and after delaying the striker sees his effort from a tight angle deflected behind for a corner.

Oscar combines well with Lampard through the centre as he plays a one-two with the England man. However, he is unable to get the reverse pas under the requisite control to open Juve up.

Ivanovic's cross is too deep for Torres but Hazard sweeps up the back post, finding Ramires with a square pass. The Brazilian has a great chance to get a shot away from eight yards but takes a couple too many touches and tries to play in Torres. Juve clear, and Ramires is left frustrated. He had to test Buffon.

Huge chance for Juve! Marchisio springs the offside trap to run onto a high ball over the top from Barzagli but his first touch is far from perfect when through on goal and Cech comes off his line to block at the feet of the midfielder!

Pirlo goes short and Juve waste the opportunity when failing to have a shot on goal. This game is yet to catch fire in truth.

Vidal sprays a first-time volleyed pass to Vucinic, who goes to ground when Luiz clatters into him from behind. Clever play from the forward as he wins a free kick 35 yards from goal. Pirlo stands over it.

Now Luiz supplies a cross from the right as Juve head away again. The pressure is increasingly markedly on the away side now.
