GOAL FOR MONTPELLIER!! Charbonnier does very well to win a hopeful ball onto the edge of the penalty area. The striker nods it into the path of Utaka who is dispossess but Charbonnier is first to it and rifles it into the back of the net from 18 yards. No chance for Carroll.

Olympiacos have failed to get a touch on the ball during these opening three minutes. A draw would be a good result for them but they've still got along way to go.

Utaka is sent flying down the left wing but the whistle is blown as the linesman raises his flag. The winger is not too happy at the call and, upon watching the replay, he was right not to be.

Yanga-Mbiwa spots the run of Charbonnier and attempts to find him with a drilled ball. It's over hit and rolls into the hands of Carroll. The whistle is blown and that is half time.

Lovely football from the home side. Stambouli produces a Cruijff turn to make some space before rolling the ball into the path of Belhanda who flicks the ball through the covering defenders legs into the path of Charbonnier but Contreras is alert and clears the danger.

The visiting side have been pretty resilient during their last four games, keeping three clean sheets. And to be honest, they haven’t looked like conceding so far...

We have our first save of the night. Bedimo receives the ball on the left of the penalty area and dinks it towards Charbonnier who does well to wrap his foot around the ball and direct an effort on target. There’s not a great deal of power behind it though and Carroll makes a one-handed stop.

Belhanda and Cabella link up well again. They exchange a one-two before the former looks to play his team mate in. Olympiacos step up well and the man is offside.

Bedimo overlaps Utaka and receives the ball. Torrossidis gets in front of his man and watches the ball out for a goal kick. Very good defending.

There has not been a single shot on target so far this evening. It’s been a relatively entertaining opening forty minutes but nothing to write home about.

Machado has a pop at goal from 30+ yards out. The winger does very well on the wing again and decides to cut inside. There are men both left and right but he opts to shoot and sends it over the bar. Wrong decision.

The hosts have had 65% of possession so far in this game but have failed to test Roy Carroll. That may be why they’ve failed to win a single game at home all season.

Bedimo is caught in a heavy challenge by Fuster. There’s not a great deal in it but the Montpellier man looks in a bit of pain. Cabella puts the ball into touch with his team mate down.

Machado does well yet again down the left flank to beat a couple of men. He cuts back after reaching the byline and tries to find Fuster but the pass is cut out.

Cabella shows a turn of pace on the right flank to beat his man and roll the ball into the feet of Mounier. The tricky winger looks to nutmeg Maniatis but the midfielder makes a decent tackle and looks to set up and attack.

Fuster clatters into Cabella but is let off by the referee. He really needs to be a little more careful being the only player on a yellow card.

The visitors are trying to slow the game down at the moment. They’re playing the ball across their back four waiting for a gap to open up. Montpellier are working hard to get the ball back but won’t be too concerned with Olympiacos retaining the ball in their own half.

Belhanda spots the clever run of Mounier and finds him with a clipped ball over the top of the defence. It’s a tight angle and all Mounier can do is try to lift it over the goalkeeper, but the contact isn’t there and it drops into the hands of Carroll.
