Good evening and welcome to our LIVE coverage of tonight’s Champions League Group B match between Montpellier and Olympiacos at Stade la Mosson in Montpellier.

Belhanda spots the clever run of Mounier and finds him with a clipped ball over the top of the defence. It’s a tight angle and all Mounier can do is try to lift it over the goalkeeper, but the contact isn’t there and it drops into the hands of Carroll.

They’re still riding the storm, Olympiacos. They’ve soaked up a lot of pressure in this opening half an hour but Carroll still hasn’t had a save to make.

Stambouli comes across to dispossess Machado and then sends a lovely ball to the other side of the field right into the path of Utaka. The winger’s cross is deflected out for a corner.

The Greek champions have slowly started to come to life in the last few minutes. They’ve had a few efforts on goal and perhaps should have taken the lead there, had Machado not been worried about the challenge from Hilton.

Greco comes across to the left and collects the ball. He then makes a fool of Stambouli to cross for Machado but the winger’s effort is wayward under pressure from Hilton. Should have at least made the keeper work from 10 yards.

Djebour rises highest to meet the corner but can only direct it straight into the midriff of Hilton. They have another corner.

Paulo Machado ventures down the left and swings in a ball for Djebbour from deep. Stambouli is on hand to put the ball out for a corner.

For all of their possession so far, Montpellier’s final ball has been lacking. They’re currently struggling to penetrate this stubborn Olympiacos defence.

Former Portsmouth man Utaka cuts in from the right, shimmies his way past a challenge before rifling an effort on goal. It takes a deflection off Contreras and flies just wide of Carroll’s goal.

Wonderful play from Greco. He collects the ball in his own half, strolls past two challenges and then whips in a devilish ball. Djebbour lunges for the ball and manages to get a stud on it but no more as the ball rolls out of play.

Greco bursts down the right but runs straight into a wall of two Montpellier defenders. The Olympiacos man attempts to find Djebbour but his cross is weak and is cut out

Another effort from Belhanda, who has been everywhere so far. Charbonnier controls the ball on the edge of the penalty area and tees up the midfielder. Belhanda’s first-time shot strikes Manolas before going out for a corner.

This really has been a very positive opening quarter of an hour from the home side. They’ve kept the Greek side at bay and look the most likely to find the back of the net.

Torossidis attempts to usher the ball out for a goal kick but Belhanda, who has drifted out to the left, chases the ball down very well and produces a tremendous sliding challenge to put the ball out for an Olympiacos throw.

That was a very strange decision from the referee. I can’t see why he would blow for a free kick so late, especially considering that Mounier had continued to play on. The hosts were not too pleased with that decision.

Mounier and Belhanda work the free kick very well to allow the former some space on the edge of the penalty area. His shot is wayward, though, and flies high and wide.

Mounier bursts down the left and cuts inside of Holebas, who hauls him to the floor. Mounier continues and fizzes a ball straight into the arm of Contreras. There are shouts for a penalty but the referee had blown for the free kick.

Hilton picks the pocket of Greco and walks the ball out of his 18 yard box. Good defending, that.
