FULL TIME! Atletico 5-0 Malmo - A handsome win that puts Atletico three points ahead of Juventus, who lost against Olympiakos, and level with the Greeks. In the end, an impressively ruthless victory for last year's runners-up.

GOAL! Atletico 5-0 Malmo (Cerci) - The Italian has his first Atletico goal and Simeone has a margin of victory befitting his side's domination of the game. After having taken a snap shot that pranged off the far post, the ball rebounds to Cerci who makes sure his second bit of the cherry hits home. Malmo's defending was abject however.

We're into the last few minutes and Atletico are still looking for more! There'll be at least three added minutes.

SUBSTITUTION: Pa Konate on for Ricardinho. Age Hareide sends on a replacement for his right-back who has been a useful player this evening, bombing forward or hanging back depending on what was required of him.

SUBSTITUTION: Simon Thern on for Magnus Eriksson. Lost in the midst of that goal was a switch made by Malmo, who send on the fresh-faced Thern for Eriksson. It's unlikely to make much of a difference now.

GOAL! Atletico 4-0 Malmo (Godin) - The man in the armband gets a goal, as he heads home from the corner. It's a deserved reward for the defender who has been an intimidating presence at the back for the Spanish champions.

Soon after, Suarez gets a perfect chance to make it 4-0 off the end of a nicely weighted ball over to him as he lingers outside the box. It's parried behind however and Atletico get a corner.

A tricky bit of play sees Thelin sent through on goal against Moya, but the keeper is able to stand tall and collect the incoming, bouncing ball before anything can come of the chance.

Some impressive tracking and resistance from Siqueira in his own box prevents Kroon from taking what would have been a very dangerous shot on goal against Moya. There's no lack of pride at the back for Atletico, even as the intensity of the games ebbs away.

Sloppy play is creeping in for both sides, as a lazy Malmo ball is gobbled up by Suarez, who shortly after sends a weary one out to Siqueria, which is intercepted by Tinnerholm. It may not be a blockbuster finish.

Christian Rodriguez wants a hand ball against Helander who slides onto the Atletico man's cross to send it bobbling away. There was perhaps some contact with the Swede's hand but it looked wholly accidental and innocent.

So that's two of Atletico's goalscorers off the field, with only Koke remaining. Is it a case of job done for Simeone and his men? The game does seem to be winding down slightly, even if Malmo continue to look for a heroic consolation goal.

SUBSTITUTION: Cerci on for Mandzukic as Simeone plays his final hand from the bench to bring on Atletico's summer recruit from Serie A. The Italian is yet to open his account for his new club. Could tonight be the night?

Malmo aren't giving up but their first touch of their right-sided midfielder Eriksson lets him down as he tries to dribble through the box to take a shot. It seems as though every attempt to contol he ball just sends it a few inches further away from his foot. After some scrappy attempts to recontrol the sphere by his team mates, Kroon takes a shot but it's well over.

SUBSTITUTION: Greizmann is off Christian Rodriguez and that's two substitutions down, one to go for Atletico. Unfortunately for the new arrival, his first contribution to the game mainly consists of being smacked in the mouth by his marker. That's one way to greet an opponent with fresh legs from the bench, I guess.

Yellow card for Rosenberg, who is booked by the referee for diving in the area after receiving a sharp through ball from a Malmo free kick. Madzukic's challenge looked a bit ungainly but legal. The veteran will have to think twice before tryng to be too canny now.

SUBSTITUTION: Raul Garcia is coming on for Arda Turan, who is greated with smiles and a congratulatory tap of the hand from him manager. The Turkey international has been a real danger man down the right for Atletico tonight.

Yellow card for Johansson, who impedes his marker and goes into the referee's book. He may regret that foul if Atletico's forwards continue to keep the pressure on his fellow defenders.

SUBSTITUTION: Simon Kroon on for Emil Forsberg. A regular threat in the first half, Forsberg has come in for some feisty treatment from Atletico in the second and their aggression appears to have left its mark. He retires to allow his fellow Swede Kroon to take his place.

Now three goals down, Malmo almost muster a response. Moya is forced to make another spectacular save to deny the visitors a consolation goal. Meanwhile, there appears to be movement on the touchline.
