Not much happening here apart from subsitutions, and it looks like Madrid will soon make another one.

It's a comedy of errors on the touchline as the fourth official can't use his electronic board properly. He get's it wrong once, and the game has to go on while they sort it out. Then when they come to try again, there's another problem, and a member of the Madrid dugout has to help out. In the end, Marcelo comes on in place of James.

A final change for Basel, who bring on Kakitani for Zuffi.

Another change for the hosts as Chelo DIaz comes on in place of Frei.

Ramos sloppily concedes possession and Hamoudi is allowed to crack a shot off. Luckily it's way off target.

Isco slips it to Coentrao who plays a nice ball across goal, which Frei has to scramble clear.

A scream of pain from Ronaldo after an awful tackle from Schar. It's late, studded, and looks slightly malicious and unneccesary. It's everything it shouldn't be and he sees yellow.

So close to a wonderful team goal! It's a sweeping Madrid move starting with Coentrao, who bursts down the left before sliding it through to Bale, who in turn slides it through to Ronaldo. The striker runs onto it and tries to guide it into the net but it rolls just wide.

Paulo Sousa decides it's time to shake things up, bringing on Ahmed Hamoudi for Degen.

Bale hits the bar! The Welshman bursts into the box on and lashes at the ball with his left foot. It arrows onto the bar and bounces down, without crossing the line.

Nice work from Isco to feed Ronaldo on the by-line in the box. He's crowded out and wins a corner.

Nervy moments as a ball is played over the top and Vaclik comes racing out of his box and has to jump to get his head on it to clear the danger.

Madrid make a change, and it's not an attacking one. Benzema makes way for Asier Illaramendi, who's back from a groin injury.

Great save! It's Basel's first real chance as Embolo skips past Keylor Navas in the box. He shapes to shoot from the tight angle but before he knows it Navas is back up and dives to get a hand to it.

Gashi tries an audacious header from range, trying to loop it over Keylor Navas who was off his line. Close!

Ronaldo runs at the Basel defence but just overruns it before he can shoot.
