Kovacic trying a fancy back heel under pressure but it goes all wrong on the touchline and Malmo get the throw in.
5'
Casemiro with no options ahead of him so he decides to have a pop but it flies well wide.
4'
Benzema and Ronaldo in little space on the edge but manage to work a one-two. Lewicki slides back at the last moment to stop the ball getting to Benzema who looked like he wanted to pull the trigger.
3'
Casemiro with a loose pass in the middle which falls to Berget but his first time through ball to Djurdjic running in behind is cut out easily by Varane.
2'
Fast start from Malmo as they knock a long pass down the line for Rosenberg who rolls Nacho but his cross to the near post is cut out by Varane.

And we're underway here at the Swedbank stadium as Real Madrid kick us off to a great wall of noise from the fans. This should be a good game should Malmo hold on to their clean sheet for as long as possible.
19:43
Moments to go before kick off and the players are now emerging from the tunnel to a lot of noise from the Malmo fans. Quite an atmosphere.

And Rafa Benitez is being classically defensive about his tactics: "Fans want to see the team win, but they also want to see them create chances and battle. We need to keep working, create chances and be more accurate. We are talking about the fact that the big teams have to play two games per week and maintain a very high intensity and that is not always easy."
19:35
Malmo manager Age Hareide is in confident mood: "I think Real Madrid, completely unconsciously, take this match lightly because of course it's one where they should absolutely be taking all three points on paper. And I hope that they are taking it lightly, because if they are not giving full throttle we have a chance. I believe that in 10 games with Real Madrid, Malmo can win one, so we must exploit the percentages and find that win. They do not know the atmosphere we have here at our stadium, so we must again appeal to the public to help inspire both the players and the staff to a great result."
19:30
All three of Malmo's home matches in the Champions League last season ended in 2-0 scorelines. They won one of them but will have to put in a hell of a performance to pull that result off tonight. Madrid may not be at full strength but with Ronaldo in the team, the man who has scored more goals than anybody else in the Champions League, they'll always be a massive threat.
19:25
Real Madrid have struggled a bit this season with goals not coming as freely under Rafa Benitez as under other regimes. But the results have been coming in and they'll be confident of another victory today as Malmo have only ever won one of their seven games in the Champions League to date, a 2-0 home victory against Olympiakos last season.
19:20
Malmo on the other hand have managed to patch up central defender Rasmus Bengtsson following an ankle injury but cannot recover Guillerme Molins in time to make this match. Aside from that, they've put out about as strong a side as they can with veteran Markus Rosenberg leading the line.
19:15
For the vistors, Gareth Bale has not made it back from a niggly injury while Luka Modric has managed to make the bench. Alvaro Arbeloa comes in at left back while Nacho and Raphael Varane make up the central defensive partnership without Sergio Ramos or Pepe available. Casemiro also makes a rare start in central midfield.
19:10
So there are the teams. Some interesting choices with both sides weakened by injuries to key players in what is the first ever Champions League match between these two sides.
