The French side are enjoying an all-conquering season on the domestic front and are runaway leaders in Ligue 1 by a mere 24 points. It means they come into this as heavy favourites on paper, particularly given Chelsea's troubles this season. But don't rule out the Blues, who know this competition represents a tangible opportunity to rescue their campaign and will be hoping to continue their improving form under Guus Hiddink with a marker of their intent. A wonderful through pass from Di Maria releases Lucas from deep. The Brazilian surges towards the area but is well marshalled by Azpilicueta who gets across just in time to avert the danger. Great defending.

Possession stats are a bit alarming for Guus and co.

David Luiz hangs a ball over the top that causes Cahill some concern. Di Maria sticks out a foot but can't quite reach it and the pass drifts out of play. Another nervy moment for the visitors.

More PSG pressure. Lucas drifts into a dangerous area 25 yards out, latching onto Zlatan's knockdown but he eventually his low attempt brilliantly blocked by Cahill.

Costa has barely had a touch for Chelsea so far. The visitors are using up a fair amount of energy just trying to keep this rapid start from the hosts under control.

Lucas cuts back onto his right foot and fizzes a long-range effort a few yards past Courtois' right-hand post.
