Hello and welcome to LIVE updates of the Champions League last 16, second leg clash between Arsenal and Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners face mission impossible as they look to overcome the fall-out of the Alexis Sanchez bust-up and a mammoth 5-1 first leg deficit to somehow reach the last eight for the first time since 2010. Can they make it interesting or will the Bavarians ease through, as expected? History is against Arsene Wenger’s men – no side has made it through a CL tie after losing the first leg by four or more. Kick off 7.45pm

Bayern seem to have had CL travel sickness for quite a while now...

The corner is cleared towards Ramsey who blazes off target from distance.

The Ox shows a real turn of pace to spring beyond Vidal to the right byline. He has men in the middle but clips his cross straight at the defender facing him. Corner, but it was a good situation for Arsenal that went to waste.

A Bayern corner drops for Ribery but the Frenchman's tame volley is easily diverted to safety.

Bayern look to respond. Vidal climbs above a defender to meet a cross from the right. Ospina saves it but the flag was up for a foul. A warning sign for the hosts.

Have to say, you'd expect a keeper of Neuer's calibre to do better with that, but Arsenal won't care.

That's 16 for the season for Walcott and gives them something to bite at.

GOAL! Arsenal lead on the night. Walcott surges onto a ball from the right of the area and sizzles a thumping shot above Neuer at the near post (Bayern lead 5-2 on aggregate).

Ton up for Bellerin tonight, though he'd probably hope to face someone other than Ribery!

Bayern full of experience. They don't lose often and when they do it isn't by big margins.
17'
The Ox curves a ball into the area for Walcott who can't quite rise enough to get a good connection on it. It skims off Martinez and goes out for another corner, which eventually comes to nothing.

Arsenal beginning to get on top. This is good spell for the hosts.

You see it all in the CL...

CLOSE! The ball is lifted to the left side of the area and then ricochets into the middle where Giroud can't quite guide it home under pressure from Hummels.

Arsenal have prevailed only twice in 11 UEFA competition ties after losing the away first leg. The Gunners defeated HNK Hajduk Split in the 1978/79 UEFA Cup and FC Porto at this stage of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League. These were both after 2-1 away losses, so this is a whole other matter tonight.
