Gladbach come into this having made two changes from their derby disappointment against Cologne. Tony Jantschke and Fabian Johnson are drafted in while of Jannik Vestergaard and Thorgan Hazard drop out. The latter is not named in the squad due to 'personal reasons'.

Sergio Aguero netted a treble in the 4-0 success at the Etihad back in September. The Argentine has scored four times in two CL matches v the Germans.

Gladbach haven't won in four and have lost the last two. At the weekend they went down 2-1 to Cologne in the Rhine derby.

Monchengladbach coach Andre Schubert: "We're not going to try and pull something extraordinary out of the hat. It's about looking to contain Man City as best we can. We are playing against one of the best teams, with the potential to get to the semi-finals or the final of the Champions League. We're huge underdogs going into this game, we're aware of that."

FORM: City have won three of their last four, including a superb 3-1 home success over Barcelona. Prior to that they had embarked upon the worst spell of Pep Guardiola's glittering coaching career - a six-match winless run.

A BIT OF PREVIOUS: City hammered Gladbach 4-0 at the Etihad back in September. They also met in the CL group stage last season, with the Citizens triumphing on all three occasions so far. They have netted 10 and conceded three in those encounters.
