Manchester City need to get a grip of this game otherwise the tie could get away from them. An away goal changes everything for them, but they have been so poor in this first half.

Well, this is turning out to be quite the spectacle. Liverpool knew that they needed to make home advantage count this evening, but they couldn't have dreamed a better start to this tie.

EDERSON PUNCH CLEAR! The Man City goalkeeper surely could have caught that? Robertson's delivery into the box looking for Firmino was a wicked one, but Ederson punched instead of catching.

Every Liverpool touch of the ball is being cheered. This time, Milner nicks the ball off the toes of Silva and the home fans erupt. The home side are looking good value for their lead.

Anfield is rocking now. Liverpool have the wind in their sails. They're not really controlling the game in the centre of the pitch, but they are causing all sorts of problems in the final third.

You just had a feeling that Liverpool would rise to the occasion this evening and they have certainly done that so far. The Reds are flying here. Man City can't handle them.
