NAPOLI HIT BACK TO EARN DRAW WITH BARCA
Napoli began life under new coach Francesco Calzona by earning a spirited 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg courtesy of Victor Osimhen's second-half equaliser.
With Slovakia coach Calzona in the technical area for the home side after the dismissal of Walter Mazzarri on Monday night, the struggling Italian champions – who sit a lowly ninth in Serie A – rescued a merited draw when Nigeria forward Osimhen accepted Frank Anguissa's pass to fire home on 75 minutes.
Barcelona had taken the lead on the hour-mark courtesy of Poland striker Robert Lewandowski's 93rd career goal in the Champions League from Pedri's delightful through ball.
The return leg on March 12 in Barcelona is well-poised after a draw that will not displease either side.

ALL OVER IN NAPLES!
Gundogan fires a shot a few yards wide in the closing seconds, but it ends 1-1 at the Maradona. All to play for in the second leg on March 12.

HEADING FOR FOUR ADDED MINUTES
Looks like a 1-1 is going to be the outcome unless there is late drama. A draw is probably about right with both sides contributing to an energised second half.

BARCA DECIDE TO SHUFFLE THE PACK
Would probably accept 0-0 right now as João Félix replaces Pedri and Oriol Romeu takes over from Andreas Christensen. Simeone slams a snap shot a few yards over the bar.

A HEADED CHANCE FOR THE HOME SIDE
Frank Anguissa with a darting run into the Barca box, but his glancing header from the Giacomo Raspadori corner is wide of the goal. Right idea, but just off target.

ARE BARCA STARTING TO TIRE?
Napoli certainly coming on strong late as Pedri concedes a corner before Lewandowski is forced to clatter a loose ball away with the visitors all over the place at the back.

GOAL! (OSIMHEN) NAPOLI 1-1 BARCELONA
Well, would you believe this. Napoli looked out of ideas, but Victor Osimhen gives Martinez the slip from the Frank Anguissa before finishing with ease as Marc-André ter Stegen dived the wrong way. 1-1 in Naples. Game back in the mixer.

NAPOLI SEARCH FOR EQUALISER
Matteo Politano surging down the right flank at some pace, but De Jong does the work of an enforcer to ensure the cross can't be delivered as it runs out for a goalkick.

BARCA'S LONG WAIT IS OVER
Was worth the wait with Xavi's side on course for a vital 1-0 away win in Naples. Second leg of this one is March 12, but still work to be done here tonight.

BARCA LOOKING COMFORTABLE IN ITALIAN JOB
Pedri wallops a volley from distance at the Napoli goal. That ball was travelling and Meret does well to read the flight of the effort to scramble it behind. Comes off his line seconds later to collect the Gundogan corner.

CAN'T SAY BARCA AREN'T WORTH THEIR LEAD
Not exactly a classic contest this evening, but the leading men come to the party at the right time. And there are not too many better strikers in the world than the Polish icon.

GOAL! NAPOLI 0-1 BARCELONA (LEWANDOWSKI)
A sustained period of possession from Barca before Lewandowski takes two touches form the Pedri pass before thumping a low shot into the corner of the net from just inside the area. Brilliant finish down to the keeper's right. What a vital goal that could be. Barca with the advantage. 93 UEFA Champions League goals for Lewa now.

HAS THIS GAME GOT 0-0 WRITTEN ALL OVER IT?
Has certainly got that vibe about it after an hour's play. Which in the days without away goals wouldn't be the worst outcome for either side. Definitely looks like one goal at either end would be enough to win it tonight.
