"Let's hope we get a good really game," said McManaman on TNT Sports. "Financially, they are a mess. I think he [Xavi] has been treated awfully to be honest. He hasn't had the support of [Barcelona president] Juan Laporte.

"Given players he doesn't want all on free contracts, and try to make the best of it. Still, they won the league last year and the Super Cup. I feel he has been very, very harshly treated Xavi."

“We will go out to win, as always," Xavi told reporters. "We go out to win, we are Barca, a draw is not a good result. We will go out like this, then depending on the circumstances, we will see if it is a good result or not.

“But we have to take into account that we have a home game and that they will have to visit Montjuïc. The tie is going to be even. I think that playing away first is not a disadvantage. There is no clear favourite, you have to earn it on the field.”

Walter Mazzarri's spell as Napoli coach is over after just three months, with the veteran manager being replaced by Slovakia boss Francesco Calzona. The Serie A champions made the move just two days before they face Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie in Naples.
