That was a hugely impressive performance by Real Madrid. They have one foot in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey after that display. Marcelo, Modric and James were the standout players for the home side, but Sampaoli will be disappointed with how his side were completely blown away this evening.

That was a late opportunity for Nasri to grab the away goal that would keep Sevilla in this tie for the second leg, but Carvajal recovered to make the interception on the Frenchman.

Even at this late stage, with such a commanding lead, the Real Madrid players are still pressing high up the pitch and forcing Sevilla into mistakes close to their own goal. Relentless.

CHANCE FOR DANILO! What a pass that was from Casemiro. He found the run of Danilo down the right wing with a toe poke of sorts, but the right back could only strike at Rico.

So it now looks like Carvajal is playing as an out and out winger with Danilo in behind him. This is an opportunity for him to make an impression as an attacker in these final few minutes.

A change apiece for either side. Ben Yedder comes on for Correa, and Mariano is on for Morata. Mariano scored a hat trick in the last round of the Copa del Rey for Real Madrid.

If there could be one complaint from Zidane it might be that his Real Madrid side haven't killed this tie in the first leg. They have had the opportunities to do that. Will they rue those?

This is now a rather peculiar shape from Real Madrid at the end of this match. The hosts now look to be playing five midfielders in the centre of the pitch. Is this now 3-5-1?

Sevilla have been overwhelmed at the Bernabeu this evening. They have been second best by quite some distance. They are much better than what they have shown against Real Madrid.

Zidane is getting ready to make another change. Danilo is on the touchline and receiving instruction. You would think the Brazilian will be coming on for Carvajal at right back.

Casilla hasn't had much to do this evening and but what he has had to do he has done well. He is an able deputy to Keylor Navas. He can do a job when it is asked of him.

That wasn't too far away. Escudero catches a volley sweet on the left foot, but the ball flashes past the near post. Real Madrid will be keen to come out of this match with a clean sheet.

Zidane will probably want his side to press for a fourth goal before the end of this match. A fourth goal would make the second leg something of an irrelevance. The tie would be over.

This is all the more impressive from Real Madrid when you consider the standard of opposition they have faced this evening. Sevilla are one of the best teams in Spain.
