For all their attacking intent and dominance on the ball, that chance for Sevilla shows that Real Madrid are still vulnerable at the back. That will give the away side some encouragement.

Sevilla are enjoying more of the possession now, but that's as a result of Real Madrid sitting back more than anything else. The hosts are quite happy the way things are.

Nasri has hardly had a touch of the ball so far. He's having to dig deep and help out with the defensive side of things, but the Frenchman has barely crossed the halfway line so far.

Don't forget that Real Madrid are without a number of key figures tonight. No Bale, Benzema or Ronaldo. They are also missing Pepe and Ramos at the back. Real depth.

Indeed, Sevilla need a bit of a rethink here. They are making no impression at all on the game. Real Madrid are completely dominant. They are so well organised all over the pitch.

INCHES WIDE! What a spectacular goal that would have been. Modric twisted his body and sent a wonderful overhead scissor kick towards goal, but his effort flashed just past the post.

This has been extremely impressive from Real Madrid early on. They are right on top of Sevilla. The away side are not being given any moment to think on the ball. Strong opening 20 minutes.

James almost played himself into trouble there! His over ambitious clearance gave Correa the chance, but the Sevilla striker passed up on the opportunity. The Colombian was guilty of trying too much.
