Two goals from the penalty spot have given Real Madrid a 2-0 win in the first leg of this Copa del Rey round of 32 tie, but the Spanish and European champions were far from their best. They laboured through much of the match, to ber perfectly honest. Capable of much, more better.

The referee hasn't had an especially good evening. That's two big decisions that he has got wrong. That wasn't a red card. A yellow card, yes. But to send off Vallejo for that was harsh.

SENT OFF! Vallejo has been shown a straight red card for a high challenge. That seemed to be a little harsh on the Real Madrid youngster, but he has been sent for a slightly early bath.

Casilla has to make the save from the freekick. He gathered at the second attempt, with a number of opposition players about to pounce on the loose ball. Chance for the home side.

To their credit, Fuenlabrada are still pressing for a goal to give them a lifeline in this tie. Or more likely, their thinking about a souvenir goal in front of their own fans. This tie is over.

Zidane has just brought on Franchu. The story with him is that Spain are trying to poach him from Argentina at youth level. He is highly rated and now has a chance to prove why.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Fuenlabrada 0 Real Madrid 2 (80 mins - Lucas Vazquez). Vazquez is given the chance to take this spot kick and squeezes his shot underneath the goalkeeper, who guessed the right way. It was too far into the corner of the net, though.

PENALTY KICK TO REAL MADRID! Candela has been shown a second yellow card for bringing down Theo.

What's peculiar is that the second leg of this tie will be played over a month from now. There are Champions League and Liga games to be played between now and then.

There is a sense that with Fuenlabrada starting to tire late on in this match, Real Madrid might score a second, putting the tie to bed. In truth, this tie is most likely already over.

JUST WIDE OF THE POST! Real Madrid come surging forward on the attack, with Vazquez curling one towards goal from about 20 yards out, but the ball flashes past the post.

This hasn't been the best performance from Real Madrid, but they are ahead and are getting the job done. I mentioned that Asensio would have to step up. That's what he did.

That's a foul on Theo, a fairly obvious one, and the yellow card is shown to Candela as a result.

That's better from Mayoral, holding off the attentions of two Fuenlabrada defenders before firing over from close range, but the flag was raised to spare the Real striker's blushes.
