HALF TIME: Fuenlabrada 0-0 Real Madrid. Not a great display by the Spanish and European champions. With the exception of that late Llorente chance, they've created nothing.

OFF THE CROSSBAR! That's the closest we have come to an opener in the first half. Llorente strikes an effort towards goal from the edge of the box, but it's tipped on to the bar.

I can't wait for half time to stick the kettle on. This has been a truly atrocious half of football. Probably the worst I have watched so far this season. Bring on that whistle, ref!

Of course, Real Madrid have the quality to make the breakthrough at any given moment. They don't really need to be playing well, they have so much in the way of individual brilliance.

Even by Real Madrid's standards for the start of this season, this has been poor. They have no cutting edge whatsoever. They have no way of moving the ball to their attacking talents.

This hasn't been much of a spectacle so far. There's not a lot to report, really. Real Madrid are seeing more of the ball, but they have done so little with it. I'll be honest, I'm bored.

LLORENTE SHOT ON GOAL! Vazquez beats three opposition players to set up his teamate for the shot, but from about 20 yards out Llorente puts his effort well over the target.

Mayoral has made scant impression in this first half, but the striker might argue that he hasn't had the service. Indeed., where has Asensio been? He is capable of so much better.

Fuenlabrada look like they could cause some damage on the rapid counter attack, but time and time again they have been let down by their decision making in the final third.

This has been a poor display from Real Madrid so far. They are finding their passing groove as the half time break approaches, but really struggling to break down the defence.

This has been a pretty poor performance from Real Madrid so far. They are lacking in fluency and Fuenlabrada are pressing them high, forcing them into mistakes on the ball.

Asensio has been very quiet in the early stages of this match. He is probably the creator in chief for Real Madrid this evening, but I'm not even sure that he has seen the ball so far.

This has actually been a common problem for Real Madrid this season. They have struggled to get going in matches, which is the opposite of what Zidane wants from his side.

The home side are certainly seeing more of the ball here. They are growing in confience. Meanwhile, Real Madrid seem quite happy to allow them the possession. Strange.
