Freekick comes to nothing! That was a waste from Sevilla. They had players up from the back, but the delivery from Banega was too strong and Barcelona can make the clearance.

That's a bit rash from Vidal on Escudero. He didn't need to go steaming in like that. Sevilla will now have the chance to swing a freekick into the Barcelona box. This could be an opening.

Before kick off, I billed this match as potentially the match of the Copa del Rey so far this season. I may have cursed things because there has been a lack of quality from both sides.

Valverde might be about to bring on the big guns. Coutinho and Suarez have been sent to warm up by the Barcelona boss. Might we be about to see one, or both, of them brought on?

Boateng isn't the only new signing who could make a debut this evening. Wober is on the bench for Sevilla. Will we see the defender in this second half? Or will Machin make more attacking changes?

The Sevilla players believe that they should have had a corner kick there. Indeed, the replays show that Cillessen probably carried the ball over the line. They had a case there.

Of course, it should be noted that these Copa del Rey ties are two-legged. So Barcelona will take Sevilla back to Camp Nou for a return fixture. That's why they will be happier with this as it stands.

Barcelona have been pretty toothless in the final third of the pitch, although they should have opened the scoring through Malcom. He should have found the net after rounding Soriano.

This match has opened up in the final moments of the first half. We have been waiting for this after a slow start. Can we just keep playing, referee? At least give it another 10 minutes?

Big save from Cillessen! What a save from the Barcelona keeper! Escudero played the cross to the near post, where Ben Yedder controlled it and got the shot away. But Cillessen came off his line to close down the angle.

Looking at that chance for Malcom a few moments ago, he could have squared for Boateng in the middle, but his eyes lit up when he saw the goal gaping after rounding Soriano.

The pass through for Malcom from Arthur was fantastic. The Brazilian has been very impressive for Barcelona since joining from Gremio in the summer transfer window. Looks the part.
